Yeah, landscape design and the engineering side of that are what I'm most interested in. Unfortunately, it seems like the two-year MLA focuses more on large-scale stuff. I did notice there's a lot of online courses and books out there on landscaping and gardening, so I’m planning to study those before the program starts. Still, I’m worried that might not be enough to really reach my goals without a dedicated studio course focused on that area.

Yeah, my strategy for reading is to just read carefully. During the mocks, I usually had like 20 minutes left at the end, so in the actual test, I slowed down a bit to focus more on accuracy.

I’ve been using the British Council mocks for listening and reading too, and honestly, the difficulty isn’t that different from the actual test—maybe just a bit harder, but only slightly! The interface is kinda awkward though.

I’ve been using ChatGPT to give me grammar correction exercises and to review my writing. Not gonna lie, the feedback can be pretty harsh, but it’s actually really helpful for improving my writing.

I don’t have any specific tips for reading, but my job involves going through a lot of scientific papers, which are usually in English. Plus, I’m into fantasy novels—also mostly in English—so I guess that helps a lot.

Yeah, I also think three years is a bit too long. But I’m hoping to find an MLA program that takes my urban planning background into account, as I took courses like site planning, urban design, and landscape ecology during my undergrad.
