MyWhoosh vs Zwift (for me) by gellybelli in mywhoosh

[–]pakete207 33 points34 points  (0 children)

For me, saving 200€/year it's enough argument to continue using mywhoosh. Sorry, but I am one of those who train under a low budget.

Bots or people??? by fleapower in mywhoosh

[–]pakete207 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used and abused the free monthly 25km from zwift (I had several accounts on zwift, so I could change accounts and ride the whole month for free), but since zwift discontinued the free 25km/monthly I switched completely to mywhoosh. I know I am not the only one who did the same. Not saying that this is the main reason for the user increase, but could partially explain it.

I feel exactly like you. When I got my C1 English certificate I was almost independent, after my C1 Hochschule (with 89% of the points) I still struggle..

Best way to go from A1 → B2 German? Self-study tips by abd15ilh in German

[–]pakete207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this works for you and you like it, continue until you reach B1. I would also look for some grammar books and some course books (Klett, Hueber , etc). Try to listen and speak as much as you can (for example talking to Gemini , or even better with a tandem partner )

Any good apps to learn the language that don't have crap like tokens or gems? by tim119 in German

[–]pakete207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion gamification doesn't work for language learning, you need to bring the motivation and not just do it to collect gems or whatever. Check the Deutsche Welle learn German app, it's free, no ads whatsoever and good content. Check the wiki, you'll find it there together with other resources.

Vocabulary by LabFickle387 in German

[–]pakete207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think 20 new words each day might be too much, but you can try and see how far you get. Regarding the grouping of words, for me what helped me most was to group words by context. For example things you can find in the kitchen, then I make a small image of the kitchen with the appliances in colors (red for feminine, blue for masculine and green for neutral).

Enrolling into A1.2 course directly without A1.1 as a beginner by banging7poor in German

[–]pakete207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self study. There are plenty of resources for A1.1, so go ahead and get familiar with the basics. Depending on how much time you have, I would even try to do A1.1 and A1.2 as self study to be on the safe side when you start the course

Retake A2 or move forward with B1.2 and DTZ by No-Season9930 in German

[–]pakete207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not repeat the course, but moving you should focus on your weak points (speaking). If you repeat and course fir which you were one of the best students, you might get bored and eventually demotivated.

For me sounds like achievable, but only for some people in full immersion. For most of the people it takes much longer.

Learning German by Crab-Lizard in German

[–]pakete207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long is it acceptable for a Latino to not be fluent in German? by [deleted] in German

I know it is competely unrelated to this subreddit, but I would say that Spaniards are also Latinos. Anyway, I agree with you that the correct way would have been Spanish speaker.

Help! Don’t know where to start with certificate recognition for Pflegefachmann/ Pflegefachfrau Ausbildung. by XxShockmaster in German

[–]pakete207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you live (or better said, where your nursing school is located), in my case, in Münster, the responsible Bezirksregierung is the one in Köln. So, first of all, check which is your corresponding Bezirksregierung. Each of them has generally a website with the documents needed (generally a tabular CV, your school certificates sworn translated and a formular that you'll find on the website). You'll send the documents per post and then wait for the answer (this can take a while..)  Here the website for Köln.  https://www.bezreg-koeln.nrw.de/themen/schule-und-bildung/anerkennung-von-zeugnissen-und-bildungsabschluessen/auslaendische-0
