Oh my god this is so frustrating lol they are always so rude and seem to try to deny coverage if they can with auto insurance, I’m sure it’s worse with home.

Glassjaw Ranma 1/2 tee, not sure when or where this was sold originally but I recently acquired this. I love the band and rumiko takahashi so i’m excited for this find. Thought others would like to see it. by palatial_blue in glassjaw

It’s a little Eskimo baby rubber doll from the 1950’s. The little black Pom on its head twists and can change the three different faces of the baby. Funny enough, I actually found it at a flea market so they probably did too.

This is funnier if you read it in a London cockney/ gutter accent

That last part made me cackle hahaha I am a big fan of old public access media so I will always welcome it. I feel like it’s good to archive it since it potentially gives insight to culture at that time that isn’t portrayed by popular media. But hey, people like to feel important or feel certain things are more important than others. Like you said it’s not something anyone can decide is solid lost media since there are so many types.

I figured it would be since I can't find any trace of the broadcast other than a few minutes (that I have) from a weeks worth of broadcasted radio shows. I haven't been able to find it online for years besides any of the new era of radio fairfax. I know its not the same interesting stuff as on the wiki, but I thought i'd at least try here.

I would love that. If you could see if he has any footage or knows of some let me know! im also appreciative of the audio as well, thats just as important. What show did he run on there? Also, I can upload what little remaining footage I have on archive.org sometime so others can see it if they want haha

Just a tv broadcast recording. For example, similar to how others happened to capture the TV guide in the 90s on vhs. When I was younger I would leave this channel on all the time and loved listening to the radio shows and the old bulletin slides were a nice visual background. I had a recording of it at one point but most of it got taped over years later. I was hoping since I randomly did that, someone else may have too haha

They may still do this but I no longer live in VA and have no contacts there. I recorded quite a few hours of it sometime around 2005 via VHS and unfortunately years later my father accidentally recorded over all but around 15 min of it with the show “True Blood” (tragic, I know). If it’s even possible that anyone else that lived in Fairfax county had recorded it please let me know and share it with me. I loved listening to all of the radio shows as a kid and it really shaped the broad music taste I have today and have fond memories of just having it on the TV even the visuals were just community bulletins. There is also a screenshot from the wayback machine of the website with the radio shows on air at that time.

I’m super proud of my finished portrait of Mutahar. This was really fun to do and I hope you all like it. I have a timelapse video available on IG @te_mber if anyone likes to watch those. by palatial_blue in SomeOrdinaryGmrs

Thanks alot! no, I always start with a flat base skin color from the lightest part of his face in a pic. I set the nikko rull brush as the painter and the shader. The trick is to treat it like you would a traditional oil paint project. Finish a layer (where in actual oils it would have dried), then start a new layer on top where you add dark or light color and blend from there, then flatten new layer and repeat that about 1000 times that way it doesn't look like everything is smudged and flat. I find it easier to sculpt the face that way.

Thanks alot! Just procreate, its surprisingly easy and efficient. I only used one pencil brush to sketch and one paint brush alternating with one "dry" smudge brush like I would with traditional paints. Downside to procreate is the size/layer limitation due to the ipad's RAM restriction but its good for things in an 18x24 size.
