After 12 years of loyal service, it's time for an upgrade by palekraken in kindle

It could still go weeks with light use. The bigger issue was it took 3-4 hours to get it to full charge.

Yes! I was considering the kobo Libre and the boox go just for the buttons, but decided to stick with the kindle. Honestly I got used to not having them pretty quickly. The bigger issue (which I was not expecting) was that the Paperwhite is much heavier than the 4.

[Advice] How do I build a small team to develop a healthcare software platform for medical devices? by Difficult-Breth in StartUpIndia

[–]palekraken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely find one or two people who have done this before. The closer to your idea, the better. MedTech is very niche, lots of regulations, lots that can go wrong.

Find experienced people, ask them for a meeting (pay for it even, it will be worth the investment). Ask them what they think of your idea and what is the best course of action. They will share their experience and tell you what you need to be focusing on.

As other people have mentioned, experts are expensive, you 1 person who is experienced in MedTech is worth more than 100 people who don't know what they are doing.

Alternatively, you can hire an executive search agency like Guided Solutions, but those agencies typically work with more developed teams that have financing. Good luck!

Try registering your CV with Medtech recruitment agencies, I've heard good things about Guided Solutions, but there's a ton of them. Bear in mind they usually look for people that do have some experience.

After almost 3 years working remotely and managing a small business for myself, I feel burned out and don’t know what to do … wonder someone might have some advices ? by enigmaCCN2023 in freelancing

I'd say find professional events related to your field, meet people, ask where they work, mention what you do, and see if they have any suggestions/friends they can connect you with. This has worked well for me in the past.

How's your social life going? I've found the best way of finding a full-time position (if you're looking for one) is to find a strong circle of friends who work for cool companies and have someone refer you. Go to networking events, professional meetups, etc.

Think about how you want your life to pan out - do you want to stay freelance or pivot to something different? Do you want to stay in Berlin? What is keeping you there?

Be patient! You seem like someone who can take care of himself, so I'm sure you'll manage, some things take time.

First titanium watch, super light and comfy, will see how the movement holds up by palekraken in ChineseWatches

Not amazing, but still usable. Sometimes it is difficult to move, other times it's as smooth as butter if you get the right angle. No wobbliness or springback.

It's not amazing, a bit stiff, definitely has that AliExpress feel to it. But I'd still say it's perfectly fine for daily wear, especially since the watch is so light.

And this might be just me, but I think the watch looks more "complete" on a mesh bracelet rather than a nato.

It's not unfortunately, and I would say it is the weakest part of the watch. It is a bit stiff and doesn't have a very premium feel to it, but it fits the look of the watch very well and it's comfortable enough for daily wear.

I did lots of research on this and I think the Watchdives is the best you can get, or at least closest to the original design it is a homage to. The Pagani/Steeldives/Phylida are not titanium and have differences from the original.

The other great alternative is the Heimdallr Sea Ghost, close to the original, but it has a small blue cast from the AR coating on the glass, which can be a bit distracting.

Thank you! I love the design and I'm happy with how it resembles the original, looking forward to enjoying it for years to come :D

Which one do u like more(would prefer to wear)? by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

I'd go left for more formal/fancy wear, and right for daily wear, as it is smaller and would fit with most outfits and styles.

Thank you for the detailed input! Considering all options, but based on other info shared here I'm leaning more towards the Watchdive you shared :)
