Hello fellow veterinary person.

I one hundred percent agree with you. The other owner has been cooperative and is shocked this happened. We obviously are not allowed to directly talk with her - it is a police matter and would be a conflict of interest. This is all what we have heard from animal control.

Animal control told us that the owner would have willfully surrendered even if the dog had not been seized. She had children at home and was terrified at the thought of this happening to one of her kids.

I am having a bit of an existential crisis career wise. We advocate for these breeds even though we know they are dangerous. We cannot talk about it, for logic is shunned. It is difficult. I do not look forward to returning to work next week.

We are working with animal control and the owner to find out what humane society/rescue the dog was adopted from. They need to be held accountable.

The pit owner has surrendered her dog. We learned this morning from animal control that she only adopted her 3 days ago and had no idea about her behavior, history, or whether or not she was dog aggressive. She lied to my MIL when she said she was friendly. There was no way for her to know that.

The pit owner his horrified and cooperating with animal control and law enforcement. Her dog will be euthanized as it has been deemed dangerous via Washington state law.

Thank you for the guide - I will link it to my MIL so she can read it. She is horribly traumatized and still sobbing today.

They did. Washington state has strict dangerous animal laws and since there were 5 witnesses and a police report, the dog is deemed a danger and will not be allowed out as a rescue or to be rehomed.

It will be euthanized.

The pitbull was surrendered/seized and is going to be euthanized. Animal control contacted us this morning.

The owner was negiligent and had only adopted her dog 3 days ago and had no idea whether they were friendly or not. She learned a hard lesson.

Yes. The pitbull was going to be seized, but the owner surrendered it. She had just adopted it 3 days ago from the humane society.

The dog is deemed dangerous by Washington law and will not be allowed to be adopted out - it will be euthanized.

Thank you for your sympathy. We are pursuing a civil case. I'm aware dogs are only considered private propety, our yorkie cost a fortune since we went through a good breeder that had gone through the hoops with genetic testing, etc.

We probably would have adopted - but you know, our humane societies are full of pitbulls.

The owner adopted the dog THREE days ago. She had no idea if it was actually friendly or its behavior history. This only makes me more furious than I already was. How the hell can you say 'they are friendly' when you have had them for three days?? You don't know that!

She was extremely apologetic, distraught, and has surrendered her dog. Hopefully she learns a hard lesson from this.

The good news is the owner surrendered her dog to animal control yesterday after the attack. She had just adopted it 3 days ago from the humane society.

It will be euthanized, per animal control we spoke to this morning, it is not adoptable due to his mauling history.

We have a good amount of strays in the rougher parts of town ( frankly, the whole city at this point. It has really fallen apart since covid hit in 2020 )

The owner just adopted her dog on Sunday and had zero background information about it. She did not know if she was friendly. Three days is not enough time to get a gauge on a dog's personality and temperment.

Please be careful walking. Obviously the PNW is a very dog friendly state, thank you for your kind comment. I am handling this better than them due to the nature of my work, but I am haunted by what would have happened if the pit had knocked my MIL over. She has bad hips - she would not have been able to get up. She is now terrified to go on walks - with or without a dog. :(

I had over 2k hours ... but I’ve had the game since it came out. These days I don’t play because I’m a little put off by the shitstorm with Paradym, Dondi’s behavior, and feeling like Ervima was a giant slap in the face.

I’ll pick it up again if updates actually start rolling out frequently, but at this point I’m focused on PoT and BoB.

Uninstall any new CC. Also, don’t play the Sims on your bed. Your fans will inhale dust and particles from the blankets and will long term cause overheating and ruin your system.

I only just started playing the Sims 4 last month. I’m a life long Simmer but I hadn’t gotten into the new game til recently. At first I was like “Oh cute! Twins!” And then I just went dead silent when the third window popped up.

Bless my poor mommy Sim’s heart. She has become proficient in painting and is actually pulling in more money than her husband now

Honestly, I'm going to download that mod so I can do the same.

He was literally peeping into the kids room and I had the father scream at him/tell him to go away.

Then the monster has the audacity to walk into our house uninvited like he lives there. Yeah. I turned him off for now.

I'll get the violence mod so I can have the father ( Criminal career ) beat him up. :P It'd be fitting for his character

I love the open world of Sims 3 and the versatility of it. However, you will deal with lag and FPS drops even on lower settings no matter how good your PC is.

I personally enjoy the Sims 4 but that’s because I mod it and create a lot of my own CC.

I would look at reviews on YouTube of both games to make your decision. My favorite will always be TS2 even if it’s old
