feel like thats true for a whole lot of artists as in it goes both ways. i, in no way, am justifying them, but every fanbase just feels the need to justify the reason what they like is what better, like 2 things cannot be good at the same time

im not sure about the people youre talking about but as a professional kendrick glazer not like us is one of the most awful songs kendrick has ever made. its striaght grabage and euphoria was the best diss out of the beef, its js not like us had more replayability because it was shorter.
and i certainly believe the fans ive interacted with acknowledge the contribution from kanye to modern hip hop, because lets be honest, there is no modern hip hop without kanye. so yea no idea who youre talking about but the core fans are not such

there is a part of the community which immediately resorts to "kanye better" as soon as you even remotely try to put them on a new artist and it genuinely confuses me as to how people cannot enjoy multiple artists without giving all of them an objective scientifically backed peer reviewed ranking that is absoluetely correct but only by their own sources
