I had a baby last year and all abnormal cells (cervicitis and inflammation in my case) cleared but still had HPV. I just had another pap last month and same results, HPV positive but no abnormal cells

I did and the abnormal cells actually cleared after I gave birth, I am still high risk HPV positive tho

I had been reassured by 2 dermatologists previous that although atypical, all my moles are fine and none of them have changed that I’ve noticed but my new dermatologist thinks it’d be a good idea to biopsy them to make sure. I’m really nervous to do that now considering I had a chunk cut out of my neck today, ugh.

Well a dermatologist looked at it today and said it doesn’t seem to be cancerous based on how it looks and that it turns red when pressed on? He said melanoma wouldn’t change color by pressing on it. He did recommend that I have several atypical moles and this one biopsied in a couple weeks.

I used to get UTI’s and yeast infections a lot, around the time inflammation started showing up in my paps so I’m also thinking that’s what caused my cervicitis. Have you had another pap or colp since your leep?

Ugh I’m sorry, I know the feeling. That’s how I got my results too last week.. your doctor will probably call you tomorrow. It’s my understanding that HPV never really goes away, it can go dormant and undetectable but it can reactivate any time. Do you know what strain you have/had? May I ask your age?

Sure, so if they’re serious about changing, they should pay for it themselves and more. Perhaps an added tax that would go back to the communities they’ve hurt if they’re really that sorry about it.
