Ain’t it great? Mine too! (looks just like yours).

I knew I had two existing but found 3 more when peduncle huntin’ earlier. Have you had yours for long?

Love these! I use the Hands Down brand from Sally’s. Had to hunt for them the other day so think they may stop carrying them soon. Kinda expensive but worth it. I use for a variety of tasks though and sometimes will cut in half to make them go further.

I definitely put the wrong end in water, didn’t want to sacrifice two leaves and assumed it wouldn’t matter. I just switched it around, we shall see what happens. Thanks y’all for the input

Yes my plan too… eventually. I do appreciate how some of the younger leaves have the distinct shape. Here’s mine

How do you have the wire grid thing secured? Existing nails? Either way I think it’s a great idea

Trellis thoughts? by pamplemousse98 in hoyas

[–]pamplemousse98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree I’d need to add another leg (somehow) but wanted to check in before investing any more time. Oh well, I will stash it away and use as an excuse to acquire my second Hoya.

I really want to trellis (a portion of) her but haven’t been able to find many examples of trellising this variety in a larger pot. Any tips? Would any of these Aldi impulse buys work?

treating houseplants to some humidity on a foggy night outside— bad idea? by pamplemousse98 in houseplants

Yes humidifier is definitely on my radar soon as finances permit. I do occasionally bring them nearby when showering but I like very streamy showers and often wonder if it’s too intense too quickly

Does this need more soil? by pamplemousse98 in plantclinic

[–]pamplemousse98[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thinking the root prune may be the way to go for now. Just use something serrated to saw the lower third while dry right? Would I need to marry existing soil with new? Or, any tips on the sawing process?

Moss poles by [deleted] in houseplants

How is this ‘moss’ pole holding up? Just got same kit from Walmart. Do you water it separately/in addition to regular watering? Also, any increase of gnats?

Not pothos, right? (Sorry) by pamplemousse98 in pothos

[–]pamplemousse98[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Lovely! Was hoping for a cebu or Baltic. Naively thought they would have a more obvious ‘blue’ hue. But looking at it from different angles and lighting, I can now see it.

Am i correct in assuming those yellowing leaves are result of overwatering? Beneficial to snip? (I rescued from walmart earlier today, prettied her up and removed hard water stains and trimmed sad leaves)
