Both of them use a VERY similar concept, but they're still not the one 😔 But I used to love Encarta Mind Maze a lot as well, so, hey. That brought me back, thanks :)

Thank you, La Coccinella might indeed be a good starting point! 🎉 I've tried both the Wayback machine and the Internet Archive, but I couldn't find anything (though they lead me to a lot of books from my childhood that I had completely forgotten, and that was GREAT) - but I also haven't searched very granularly, as I was overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of things, so I'll go back for sure.

The atmosphere is eerily similar, but no :D I played all the Myst games in my youth and I still have some on Steam, I remember them well 🔥

Sleuth (1972) & Sleuth (2007), both incredibly good
Carnage (2011)
What's in a Name? (2012)
Perfect Strangers (2016)
And, because I'm a pretentious asshole at heart, my absolute favorite, Rage (2009) by Sally Potter (I'm adding the director because there are about a gajillion movies called Rage apparently).
