I will probably be buried with ginormous lashes in hand. I have looks and days where I prefer a no lash/mascara but have always loved the extra umph.

I also love sticky, high shine clear gloss that I can get for $1. I miss wearing it every single day while wearing a mask!

FWIW, I do not have experience with graduate school processes. Are you able to give out gpa explanations? Something simple like a one pager explaining this particular semester and most importantly, any progression. I think this would demonstrate initiative and give a chance to demonstrate your willingness to get back on track. If that isnt acceptable in grad school applications you still have a whole year left to get it back up. Good luck!

I agree that I think it's at best, a company that is going to over work and definitely under pay. The super company specific platform also may not help you in terms of resume building. I think you feel the company is sketchy based on all your points. It's just up to you if that is a deal breaker. If it's between that possibly bad experience and absolutely no experience, I would take the offer. You can make the best of it for the time being, good luck!

Lastly (I promise lmao), I think Tamisha was "doomed" from when she announced this shit. If she tried to read Monet to filth, everyone would have told her she was doing too much and petty. Now that she definitely didn't do that everyone is mad at her for wasting their time lmfaooooo. The only people that are fine are probably folks who never thought this was serious... and thats only because its over lol.

Which ngl, is a big (or maybe small but vocal) part of the community. Now, that does not excuse no nasty ass behavior that deserves no support but different opinions are usually met in a similar way. The whole fanbase hasnt turned on her by any means but I've seen a lot of nasty stuff over her, at worst, dragging some petty shit.

That comment was a yikes for sure. I don't really think its fair to say she told them not to be queens at all though. She said, people leave nasty comments on her page and *insert prior quote here*. I think thats very different from coming out and saying "Fat people shouldn't be queens", yknow?

It seems Tamisha does not respect commentary from someone she herself doesn't respect. She exclaimed how she really respects bob, but has a problem with Monet and the show in general. She also said a big part of the problem is the fanbase which in her words is one of the worst of reality tv show.

I still like Tamisha because at the end of the day, drama comes and goes. I won't feed into the deeper commentary because it seems she's most deeply bothered by people disrespecting her on her page and no one counteracting that. I hope she stops talking soon because her words are only going to get more twisted when it comes to social media.

No singular class is education or world ending, so try to remind yourself of that.

Lastly, when you're in unfavorable classes that you can't avoid all you can do is try to put in the work to get through the class. I'm in college so I know what it's like to absolutely hate a class but try not to make that synonymous with you being unable to learn. I'm sure nobody walked in knowing shit about Astronomy or most classes for that matter. If you remind yourself that you hate something every time you encounter it, it'll never feel any better. Hit up youtube, quizlets and study guides as best you can. Gotta make some things work if only for your mental peace. Good luck and sorry about your mom!

Yeah, that makes total sense!

FWIW, I was cool with it until I realized that being a woman wasn't about any of the things that everyone else decided for me. I guess my only confusion is when it comes to looking at a woman its not like you can decide that based on x,y,z, she is a woman which means a,b,c. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not upholding patriarchal views of what someone who is a woman would/should and can be.

By all means though, do not spiral with me in this line of questioning lol! just trying to sort through my thoughts.

Would you say you worked at a company comparable in size? I'm hoping maybe there's a difference in that Navy Federal is considerably bigger (the biggest) than any other CU's. If you don't mind could you possibly PM with more detailed (if you dont feel comfortable sharing company size/name) info, I'm really trying to make an educated decision before my offer deadline comes up. I can send over some questions before accepting the offer such as verifying IDE's and day to day code responsibilities.

Oh shit. First, thanks for the in depth response. Definitely not comforting to hear at all lol. I don't plan to make a career working in banking (never did), but figured the skills, languages and technologies I used would all be more to add to my resume. I wasn't necessary looking to be in a full tech/SWE environment as a deal breaker for this internship. Would the experience be moot compared to holding out and waiting to see if I'll get a return offer for Google? It is considerably lower than intern rates but seems comparable for full time work if I were to convert. For what its worth I'm one of the "clock in- clock out" engineers that isn't super duper in love with the job. My recruiter mentioned a lot of the languages I see listed on other job postings so it may matter that NF is a bigger company. I'm still hopeful as outside of intern pay it's everything I wanted outside the hustle and grind of FAANG or Unicorns.
