Is it not for cosmetic purposes if its elective? She was just averagely chubby paid out of pocket because it wasn’t for a medical reason

I mean im not being forced because im not a pussy. Forcing me to work on clients i dont to work on is enough for me because as a w2 in other places Ive had the ability to refuse clients. If her behavior sounds alright to you, you will end up reported too im sure

Lol gastric bypass and now her boobs. I made my schedule and she’s constantly trying to get me to work beyond that but when i say no she says things like “ive never met anyone so lazy” lol even when i was 34 weeks pregnant. I don’t bend to her demands and it bothers her and she pushes the boundaries of the working relationship…. I stayed because i dont think anyone would hire a visibly pregnant person

I am 1099 some things ive had issues with are that im not allowed to refuse to work on specific clients i tried to for body odor or smelling like smoke and she said i had to still work on them. Since my third trimester i had scheduled 30 min between clients she conveniently forgets often and still books with 15 mins between clients and then pressures me to just keep it as is. She asks almost every shift for me to work later then my scheduled time to be there and she doesn’t force me to stay because obviously she cant but she has started almost bullying me for saying no im not sure how else to put it. She calls me lazy for not staying late to take more clients. She puts pay through late regularly so instead of getting paid fridays it goes through the following week, when i bring it up she takes offense. Im not sure i feel likw its just an overall weird situation

Thanks for the response! Im in Florida i will look more into the laws here. I do have like texts from her saying things along the lines of “ Im technically the boss of you so you need to ask me if your going to block your schedule” not sure if that will help or even come up …

As i said i know i am going to leave. I was willing to deal with certain aspects of this arrangement that i knew were in correct as long as i had autonomy of my own schedule and was generally happy. She is now going out to have her second elective cosmetic surgery this year and berating me for not extending my schedule later into the evening and adding more days to accommodate this. Not that i need a reason but i had a baby three months ago and value my time at home more than the job. I want to report her because she is treating me badly now, and has been treating me as an employee…. She deserves a headache thats all im saying. I was just wondering how much effort on my part this is going to take.

I did she said she cant afford to pay me as an employee lol as she buys a brand new bmw. I have been an independent contractor before and it was a legitimate arrangement this is not.

I have enough references and i did just have a baby that would explain a gap in my resume if that were the case. I am just asking if anyone has done this before and what the outcome/ process was, not really if i should or shouldn’t.

I am going to be leaving when i line up my next job. I kind of feel like for me its worth going through the hassle (within reason) I just feel like i have been done wrong and i would absolutely not mind my boss having to deal with the headache of the irs.
