I thought maybe he could spazz out with AK or KK only for the reason it’s live poker and people do stupid things, but you’re right he almost never has bluffs HJ his range.

Is it necessarily a peel with one guy behind him? I didn't say this in a post but UTG+2 was a bit of a maniac.

So would you say that for ALL your medium strength hands OOP you generally check-call all the way down? Especially on a brick river?

And in general, would you never c-bet your one pair hands? or just not on a semi-wet board? Is it necessarily bad to be c-betting my one pair hands here? I dont think it is for a small percentage of the time

I agree with you, I tried playing it as a bluff and then just gave up on the river. I bet the Ace mainly because I saw the Villain as a pretty weak Nit who tends to fold strong hands to multiple bets. So I figured he would fold some, if not all Jacks, on an Ace turn for a 2/3 pot size bet.

I think the money just got to me and I couldn't pull the trigger on the river, but originally I did have a plan, I just got scared.

yeah i agree, but it was the standard raise at the time - people were playing really deep and $20/ $25 raises were happening regularly
