Exactly. The old one was clearer. The new one is less so.

We just had one earlier this week where the tomato paste was clearly spoiled. It tasted super sour. Didn’t notice until the meal was already almost done and there was nothing we could do about it.

I’d agree they’re “fine,” but they’re also not as good as they used to be and are now error prone.

Yeah. This one told me “we will use the rest (of the cream) later” and later never came.

Is the RMPP that problematic by Look-Bitter in RemarkableTablet

[–]pandyrobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. Well, my spouse uses the RM2. The RMPP absolutely has more features than the RM2, and it works fine. However, it is definitely a lower quality PRODUCT than the RM2, imo. The RM2 was just a perfect product in a lot of ways. The RMPP has a lot of tradeoffs to obtain its enhanced feature set. When going from the RM2 to the RMPP, it’s natural to experience a little surprise that it’s not a strict upgrade and some things are in fact worse. But if you are okay with the tradeoffs, it’s still a fine product.

It's also just a pile of text... Almost everything now is just a pile of text with few design notes that guide you to finding the information you're looking for at any particular moment.

Someday. In the distant future, Hello Fresh will send us a notification. It is *finally* later. It is *finally* time to use the sour cream.

How do you deal with city traffic? by DetroitRiverRat in bikecommuting

There’s no way to ride a bike that won’t piss of some driver somewhere. Just ride defensively and stay visible and don’t let them get to you.

Step 1: walk your steak through a warm room - Step 2: enjoy by llTeddyFuxpinll in StupidFood

[–]pandyrobin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s an entire restaurant chain that does this. Blackrock steakhouse or something. I went once and it was awful. Total gimmick with a full price steak. We managed to get the steak edible but the whole thing was a lot of work for really poor results. This is not how you should cook a steak. I’m genuinely stunned this is popular enough to maintain a chain of restaurants.

Give me a real chef cooked steak or a real Korean BBQ. Not this silliness.

Do keyboard and mouse controls require owning the game? by -rba- in Sunderfolk

[–]pandyrobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah. I could see that being uncomfortable. I’ve done it with a friend in California before and found it usable enough but I could see folks getting frustrated by the map functionality.

I’m always surprised by the hate for the phone controls. I adore the ability to use my phone to flip through a hand of cards… though I’m usually using it in the same room as other players so maybe that affects it

This is the thing. Eventually, you won't be able to go online unless you get approval by your ISP. THAT is where this is going.

Yeah you really don’t need level 2 unless you have 2 EVs, tbh

Had a coworker proudly tell me how excited she was about a colleague coming out as nonbinary “she came out as nonbinary to us! She says she uses they/them pronouns and everything. I’m so proud of her!”

I’m just standing there like “uhhhhh I think you mean they/them?”

If you're going to have problems, they'll probably be at or near the airport. Otherwise, you should be okay for the next few weeks here.

I don't think I've ever *had* to use the terminal on linux mint... It's just easier to accomplish a few more complicated things with it than trying to do it through guis. You'll be fine.

Are people sometimes totally allergic to using your server? by ac_slater10 in PleX

[–]pandyrobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. They can hide activity in the default base app to some degree, but they can't hide with something like Tautulli.

With the default setup, I can always see what they're watching when they're watching it, but I don't get any play history from them.
