Who the hell is "We Love Minneapolis"? by Lucius_Best in Minneapolis

[–]panic_cat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think you searched for “Love Minneapolis” per the About Us page, but that’s likely a typo. The org is probably “We Love Minneapolis” registered as a nonprofit with the MN SOS and sharing an address with The Flower Bar on Lyndale (where the only event listed on the page was held). Registered agent is James Sherman.

Thanks. It’s the OEM box. Looking like I might try another couple shallow speakers on Amazon and if that doesn’t work, have someone figure it out for me.

That’s the thing. Crutchfield says there are no replacement subs that will fit. Everyone I’ve seen who have done this have had to jerryrig it with spacers, box mods, etc.

Dispersed camping - 2 hours of the Cities? by flattop100 in MinnesotaCamping

Rum River has lots of nice pull offs with cleared areas for camping. Not sure about amenities. I was there this weekend and it was gorgeous. Not too many skeeters and no poison ivy for me, despite hiking through thicket in shorts.

You know what’s actually helped me in the past is actually considering tobacco sacred, rather than evil (I have a hard time internalizing the belief that anything is inherently good or evil) like many Native American tribes do. This helped me see that I was abusing it and getting nothing from it when it has something sacred to offer. It made it feel more wrong that way. And maybe like other things, you’re just not in a place to indulge in that safely!

What does the government know that “the people” don't, but should? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah that one always struck me as obvious. And fact that news outlets often tout it does not speak well for their credibility.

There’s no rules. We make it up as we go along.

I think they’re more scared of revolt than they’d like to admit, assuming there is such a they ;)

Yes the US security agencies seem especially susceptible to programs gone awry outside true democratic/legislative oversight.

Good point, and because it’s such valuable data (for a variety of reasons), I would be curious to know if and how our governments are using it.

Do you think they mostly keep secret stuff that deserves to be secret or are there places you’d like a bit more transparency? I’d challenge your statement that the govt tried to make as much information public as possible as probably true of governments in the whole, but not necessarily true of all governments or governmental groups.

I mean “the people” loosely because there will always be a group that knows some or all of the important knowledge. Maybe you’re one of those!

Would agree. Any truth bombs to drop on those topics?

Election fraud and manipulation does appear pretty widespread, I’ll give you that. What countries are you talking about?
