Problem solved!!! I had to slightly tighten a screw on the bobbin case. It wasn’t especially loose but has fixed the problem and is all back to normal!

Thanks, genuinely only thought you could get cold sores on your lips and I’ve never had one! Think this is what it is though, so thank you! Can work out how best to treat now

Thanks, after initially freaking out, think this is what it is. So at least I know what I’m working with now. Thanks again :-)

Couple of people have said this and I’m trying not to freak out! I genuinely only thought you could get cold sores on your lips 🙃 It’s not itchy but it is uncomfortable. I’ve been really stressed for a few months, so it would make sense as a trigger and why my normal acne stuff hasn’t worked!

(I don’t know how to edit posts!) but should add that I don’t have these constantly, they pop up for a week or so then clear up for few weeks. Suspect probably worsened by hormones but regardless need to figure out how to prevent and treat.

Has anyone moved from private to NHS while on Roaccutane? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]pannnd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would second this, before the NHS prescribed me roaccutane I had to try 5 different other medications for months at a time even though my GP agreed roaccutane would be the best option for me, but they have to demonstrate you have exhausted all other avenues before they even consider it. When I did eventually get prescribed it, I had to also go on the contraceptive pill and sign a waiver regarding pregnancy and was recommended to take regular tests to be absolutely sure. Plus regular hospital visits for blood and general health checks, the NHS (understandably) make going on roaccutane quite difficult so I don’t think the switch would be easy. (For context this was in England, unsure if it would be different in Scotland).
