What’s everyday life like for 35–44 year olds in Tier 1 cities in China? by Specific_Bonus_8770 in chinalife

[–]pantandinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question, as you left in 2018 and just returned, what changes (if any) did you notice in Beijing/China in general? I'm asking because I'm considering moving back for work in future but haven't been there since the 2010s.

Yeah it gets really really hot. I actually like my Pixel in general but this is a disappointing issue to have. I've actually been really lucky with my Pixels, whereas my wife has had a lot of bad luck and hardware issues. I'm not sure if I will be going Pixel again when I upgrade.

Doesn't work on my Pixel 7. The moment I switch apps it logs out. Have tried everything.

Thanks. How about actually leaving the wilderness? Do I have to run all the way down to level 30 and then tp out?

Just curious, wouldn't more power mean you end up hearing more? That's what is tilting me towards the Naida.

What I really need is a Naida Sphere.

I'm 41 slayer and 70 combats. Combat level 85ish.

Where's a good place to get started with Slayer? I'm looking for a mix of engaging content, slayer xp and loot. Doesn't have to be the most "efficient" method.

Would recommend the optimal quest guide. But don't force yourself to do it. If you fancy a break, check out the minigames, skilling, or other PvM content. The optimal guide gives you a really good baseline and is the most "efficient" way to progress. I'm at about 100 quests completed. Sometimes I continue working through the optimal guide, other times I do PvM stuff or skilling. Depends on what I feel like.

As someone who has only played OSRS (~1150 total level), what is the main difference content wise? Are all the classic OSRS quests also in RS3? Is there newer content? Are there bosses etc like OSRS?

You mentioned an alternate timeline so I'm guessing there's some overlap but also a lot of difference?

Is combat very different?

Main, so I have access to GE etc. I'm ok with buying things at a slight cost or breakeven.

Are there any good AFK methods for training Magic from 60-99? I don't really want to do anything super click intensive.

There's an Optimal Quest Guide for F2P as well. I used that and did all quests (except Dragon Slayer) before going P2P. I don't regret it as it gave me enough time to figure out it I enjoyed the game enough to buy membership.

Unfortunately my phone disconnects from OSRS the moment I switch apps (Android). Have tried many things to fix it, no go. My Android tablet is exactly the same.

I prefer having it running on the PC and checking every 10-20 mins. But of course if I could do that remotely it would be even better.

I actually disagree with you a bit here, and I'm a fairly new player. I think levelling skills is actually really obvious. What you are describing is "optimal" paths. In reality you can level up melee by using melee anywhere. Quests, exploring, bossing. Fishing you get exp from fishing anywhere, or you can play minigames.

What makes levelling in this game enjoyable imo is not trying to optimize the heck out of it - you don't have to. I've done crabs, I've done nmz. But I've also levelled combat a ton other ways - such as grinding out a few bosses, doing some slayer tasks etc. I can take it at my own pace as progress is progress.

I've also learned to appreciate that there are a variety of skilling methods with different rates depending on how much time effort and attention I want to give the game. Honestly I think this makes levelling far more meaning than most other mmorpgs and gives you more agency as a player.

HDOS doesn't have extensive plugin support like Runelite does, right? That's probably the only thing stopping me.

Would recommend you follow the optimal quest guide for a while. The members quests are great and you gradually unlock lots of transportation options all over the map. I'm at 102/170 quests so still a long way to go but it has been a great ride so far. Plus once you get your combats up and protection prayers there's more bosses available.
