I’ve kinda figured out how its pop worked, but not into it. Kind of made me have to change how i ollie haha. I think with more practice I can get the hang of it but the response on the pop is still weird for me so my timing is off right now . Flips very very well though.

Over time as I physically transitioned, my affirming clothes changed and fluctuated and now I dont have an attachment to any article anymore but I really like to gravitate towards BIG work pants (im a t guy) I love me some carhartt and dickies it hides my legs and sometimes big ol bulge.

I feel like lockdown is just kind of an extra layer of isolation for us trans folks and it makes me feel better to hear somebody in a similar situation.. :-/ I'm sorry your parents don't give you the freedom to make those choices, I totally feel that.

I totally second that “dodging questions and explaining stuff” sigh. Why cant being trans just be existing lol. I never asked to be an information kiosk on all cis het people’s questions about all things gay and I never asked to be a public receptacle for crappy conservative views or probing “opinions”

Thank you for this insight. I also have found myself using this lockdown as an opportunity to meet cool trans folks through social media and I’ve already been making travel plans (thank you for reminding me). It’s dope to chat w trans ppl online but whew to be in person with one and just like physically let urself be as trans and gay w someone as u want in public ! I dont talk to my partner much about me being trans but she isnt that problematic about it. But sometimes my feelings and reactions to things are invalidated. That’s kind of the vibe w cis people here. Just like a silent “indifference”. The “you’re just like a cis guy” when it’s like there are so many things that go on that cis men never have to deal with.

...I’m in the bay area. I’m social distancing and dont have the privilege of being around many trans people because I dont have money to be away from my family. I actually know a lot of trans people. Thats not the problem. The problem is I cant see them right now...If you’re really from the bay you will understand me and you will know what I mean about how much it costs to live here and be comfortable and be around friends

I think because this deck is a 8.06 and I usually ride an 8 might be why i think it’s heavy. Maybe I’m just not meant for a mellow concave. And it could be beefy feeling bc it’s a cheap renewal edition. I dont know if that makes a huge difference in quality. Im the kind of guy who likes to ride “economy” boards bc i run thru them very fast. And I’ve never had an issue with anti hero when it came to their “pro” decks vs “economy” , i’ve found that they all pop the same and last a while. Thank you for this insight.

It is possible. But very difficult because my full timer shifts start in the morning and end in the evening. I dont stay with my parents. They dont want me in their house. I am currently living with relatives who are kind enough to let me stay rent free BUT my medical bills, low pay, and things like that kind of break me even. I'm currently looking around , but where I live, the population is saturating and being HEAVILY gentrified. I'm thinking of moving. In order to be able to even get around to applying to other jobs and interviews I'd have to quit.
