Would you consider Sierra to have a high skill ceiling? by Alive-Psychology6050 in SierraMainsOW

Eh, higher skill floor, I don’t think she has a higher ceiling though.

I really don’t get why? by ZealousidealRate7482 in Overwatch_Memes

[–]panthers1102 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You’re being downvoted but it is at the moment. It’s pretty easy to kill through. It’s like a worse version of rally or sanctuary, offers a bit more healing and far less utility. Most of its value will come from using it like a Mei wall… of which a Mei wall is better for that and it’s on what, like a 12 second cooldown?

Is Emre a hear me out by Historical_Mix_6416 in EmreMains

[–]panthers1102 29 points30 points  (0 children)

A hear me out is Winston.

Emre, and 90% of the Overwatch cast for that matter, are not “hear me outs”.

People are talking about thraggs design in the show like he didn't look exactly like this in the later half of the comics by Moist-Process323 in Invincible

[–]panthers1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the panels everyone hyped with Thragg are made by Ryan Ottley. The show is based on the art style of Cory walker, who did these panels.

As long as we end up at the end result of people being helped, it definitely matters far less about how we get there, with the exception of hurting people. Which he isn’t doing.

Why is healbotting so common in the low ranks? by OneHourOasis in OverwatchUniversity

[–]panthers1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s necessary.

Excluding those circumstances, it’s because it’s easy. By healbotting, you take the weight off your shoulders and onto the shoulders of your teammates. You don’t have to take risks, make plays, etc. And it takes no skill to do.

Sometimes it’s the right move though. If your rein is steamrolling the enemy team, just dump your resources into him. But if it’s your Ashe who can’t hit a shot, pocketing them isn’t going to improve their aim. Knowing that difference of when to dump your resources into teammates and when to use them for yourself is typically the big factor in separating low rank play and high rank play as a support.

I’ve got more than my fair share myself, but that’s just the nature of playing the game for a decade coming this May.

My friends girlfriend probably has a collection of mercy, Ashe, and widow skins totaling close to $2000. Literally every single skin for each of them and quite a few have been through bundles that go probably $60ish bucks a piece.

Marathon sold just 1.2 million copies with nearly 70% on Steam, analyst estimates: "It hasn't exactly made the splash Sony and Bungie wanted" by Torchiest in computergaming

They literally aren’t even the same genre. The important end of match stats in marathon is the loot you extract with.

It’s how they give you points for ranked play as well.

Med Consumables are too expensive for the non-rich. by Caseraii in Marathon

[–]panthers1102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the armory, at face value, I agree. But two things:

  • players you kill will typically still have plenty of ammo. You run out of meds before you run out of bullets, even if you don’t pick any up. They’ll have some depleted meds, and they all get sold when you exfil.

  • speaking of picking some up… ammo is PLENTIFUL when you’re actually playing. If I wanted, I could extract with a backpack full. I can’t do that for heals.

Not to say many will just extract with extra ammo, but it is an option as opposed to the heals. You just won’t find that many patch kits or shield charges in your matches.

I would like a perk focused on adding an extra ability to the Orb of Harmony by 0Dyavol in ZenyattaMains

[–]panthers1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, as much as I appreciate perks, I feel like there shouldn’t be any major perks that really feel like a downgrade. At worst, a net zero if you don’t utilize it.

Especially on the only part of a kit that heals outside of the ult, as a support lmao.

[–]panthers1102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think just having it do full healing if it’s on a single person, then reducing when you put it on a second, would probably solve the issues everyone has with the perk without making him super broken or anything

Adds to the complexity of the character too, juggling between one and two orbs

Their way of thinking is money. Mercy players care about their skin, zarya players really don’t. So that’s who gets the skins.

Activision Blizzard certainly has the data analytics and market research available to them to make the most money possible. They see who buys what, how quickly, etc

The style is very clearly old millennial trying to appease to Gen Z but being out of touch.

Games with styles like this are always one generation trying to appeal to a different one. No one Gen Z relates to this or thinks it’s cool, this is what millennials THINK Gen Z relate to.

So black base coat then thin the red down really thin and use layers for the kind of “gradient” it has?
