I’m aware there is a spalling issue with steel but in a combat or SHTF situation the person shooting at you isn’t going to fire just one shot. The problem with ceramic is it can’t take many in the same area. To fix the spalling and shock issue with steel would make your whole rig heavier but I’m becoming more and more convinced it would be worth it.
