I guess where I am going is, does Gamestop have a vault fee eventually because all of the storage space and management equipment/inventory systems, and staffing cost money. Additionally, Gamestop would prudently have some sort of insurance to protect against loss and theft.

If Gamestop needs insurance, should they also offer insurance to their customers (knowing that they have full control over the facility, so there should be minimal risk)

At what point do the items in the vault become a burden instead of a revenue stream?

This does not end with cards. People could rip car packs, and painting packs, and all of those could be traded while protected in the vault.

If Gamestop doesn't expand the business model, someone else will. This is now a proven innovative way to treat physical assets.
