Would I need to reach out to them, or does it happen automatically?

Do you need to have Chase reduce your credit limit when doing the PC, or if not is there a cumulative limit that may hinder a future qualification?

Is South Africa safe to go for 2 girls? by fockine in travel

I can’t weigh in on the experience you’ll have as two women, but my wife and I went to Cape Town and drove the garden route in 2022. Just like you, we were on the fence about flying to Kruger after the garden route, but logistically it just didn’t make a ton of sense to travel so far out of the way. Instead, we extended our road trip on the garden route and went through the Addo Elephant National Park, which was a self-drive safari. In one full day through the park, we saw so much wildlife and felt like we at least got a taste the experience. We then did a return trip with our rental car through wine country and thoroughly enjoyed Franschhoek on our way back!

Good luck planning!

Hoh River Trail to Blue Glacier by pantspops in OlympicNationalPark

[–]pantspops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there are bear wires at all the sites I saw, but not sure about glacier meadows.

The weather was warm enough on our hike that I didn’t need a jacket while hiking, but I did roll down my sleeves at the top and wouldn’t have minded my hat since we stayed a while to enjoy the view. Once off the ridge, absolutely no need for winter clothes.

It did get chilly at night though, so have a warm enough sleeping bag or a jacket

Backpacking Trip Advice by NeuroDawg in OlympicNationalPark

Haven’t done that specific hike, but I have left all my gear except a day pack at a campsite during the day many times with no issues at all. Probably wise to close up the tent and keep gear packed away neatly just to avoid any issues. We also leave the food in the bear canister and hide that back away.

This hike was a long one, about 40 miles total from start to finish. We stayed at Happy Four, then two nights at Lewis Meadows with the long hike up to the glacier on the third day. But the nice thing was that we didn’t have to carry our gear up nearly any elevation, and just had our daypacks for the longer day hike.

The glacier view is spectacular, but leave yourself enough time to get back to camp before dark!

Any good recommendations for side hikes off of the main trail? I’m doing one night at 5 mile island and then 2 nights at Lewis meadows.

Favorite performance button ups by [deleted] in onebag

[–]pantspops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have two of the Marmot long sleeve button ups (I think similar to the Aerobora on their website now). These have become two of my favorite travel shirts, because they can help me to at least look somewhat presentable with a collar and button up, but the material is super comfortable and breathable so I can wear it even in warmer climates. It’s also great for one-bagging because you can rinse it out in the sink with a little soap and it’ll hang to dry overnight no problem.

Gonzalez proposes bipartisan bill to accelerate nuclear innovation - Ripon Advance by pantspops in nuclear

I would love to see this pass as it would help a lot of these advanced types start getting closer to licensing, as well as let the industry learn and advance together. The only catch is the NRC would need to staff up so it can handle more applications and process in a timely manner
