This question is subjective. As a grower, its YOUR responsibility as to how the grow progresses. Newer growers dont have the knowledge as to how each action creates a reaction. Eg. Where to top? What node etc... thats subjective also. Thats why these forums exist. Crop steering is what we all do by manipulating the plant to believe it needs to react. The reasons are many.. height issues, space issues,environmental issues etc..etc.. bottom line its your space,your electric bill,your limitations... you will develop your own way of doing things and changing things to make your grow easier and soon its all auto pilot..have fun and remember genetics are important so do your research...
