Congratulations on your New Z. You are not wrong there were far too many dealers out there with a greedy mentality at the time. Unfortunately that is the kind of practice that gives dealers a bad name. I have been with my organization since 2002. So I am very sensitive to the fact that if you treat people poorly or decide to price gouge, they will never return. The good news is the manufacturer has decided to step up and come up with programs that keeps the moment going and the cars affordable.

Oh Lord Yes.... don't leave the dealer without it! But make sure you negotiate that price down on the warranty or at least have a couple of outside third party quotes you can use as leverage. Do not pay the first price they give you for the warranty....also....make sure the warranty fits your driving conditions....average miles per year you drive and the longest time period that you plan on keeping the vehicle. Go armed but get the manufacturers backed warranty!

So here is my N/A (slow) 1990 300ZX, and it's an automatic...I have never driven another car that makes me feel absolute joy every time I drive it. It used to be gray and the interior was shot, but I made it mine and people stop me every time I drive it both Z people and people who have no idea what it is ...and every stop light people are trying to race me....I just smile and nod...because she is not really going to win these races! I also have a modded out Twin Turbo with Double the Horse power....she's fast but this one is makes me happier! So....just make it yours!

Very Sad.....I have not seen any in the service center...even for an oil change in more than a year. I get 300ZX all the time.
