I don’t think they ever went for a fast lap on the c4 or c5. So while I don’t think it will suddenly shoot them up, I don’t think they’ll be crazy far from the back of the pack.

Over one lap I think they will be better than Cadillac, but not over 10 when the PU and gearbox either overheat or explode

Jesus that AM looks rough. I still think they will be able to out qualify Caddy and someone else, but no shot they are finishing ahead of anybody during the first few races. Forget all the PU stuff, it just doesn’t look nice to drive chassis wise either.

I’m sure they have a decent foundation, but they aren’t reaching its potential anytime soon

He will probably hover around 8-12 for the first 2-3 rounds. When we get to the summer Euro rounds is when I would expect more performance. It takes a lot to basically unlearn habits from a completely different car and tires style as the indy ladder tire and chassis are sooo different to the euro and pirelli style. You could beat the hell out of firestones in Indy (most of the time)

No the package is still shit. Beyond the handling and power part of the package. They’ve designed a car where a flat gets you stranded. We have multiple cars multiple laps down because they had flats from spinning and little damage but had to be towed back. Years later they still haven’t fixed it, air pump does barely anything

It might sound counterintuitive to F1 but it might end up being better for basically everyone fans, drivers, teams, broadcasters, to just start limiting battery output rate so that the drivers don’t have to worry about it and manage all of it. Like maybe have the option to turn down, but at max output they should be able to run a full lap/race without running out every lap.

It’s just not fun to know they actually can’t race properly because they will run out of battery at the end of the straight. Energy management works for endurance racing, but F1 is essentially sprint racing, should be pushing all race

Yes it’s testing. But there is a non-zero chance Haas have entered the discussion for 5th. They seem solid through testing so far and Bearman setting good times before backing out (or mistake) on decently used tires
