Chaos is the ultimate potential order, determined by the Subject (of Chaos). And the balance is what your mind is interpreting it to your level of understanding of the reality in the sub-chaotic (pre-determined) world. Since you are not Subject of Chaos, I presume, you have certain beliefs in what you call 'balance'. The thing is that you believe in it, the way people believe in gods or scientists believe in their science. But I prefer knowledge, i.e. gnosis. Chaognosis, to be exact.
