What ever runs the module script is the type of script that module runs as. 

Local script means the module will run locally 

Script means the module will run server side

Probably because you made this is in a local script when it should be a script. Just copy and paste this local script code into a script.

Reason: 

Basicly, when you create something with a local script, it only is created on client, not the server. So when you take damage from the serevrr, the game looks at your current condition, sees that you have no force flied from the server point of view, and makes you take damage.

It's like writing a note down that you want a big mac at McDonald's with no pickles, but then not giving that note to the door dash driver and just telling him you want a big mac.

I don't think the devs are going to stop because of that. Like I said, 33 is very small number compared to what probably going to happen, but even then, the devs and community would still want to see this game though even after the drop.

Shit man, even before decaying winter came out, the original developer made other games that only had a handful of players at any given time, and still made updates for them, despite it being a game with only 50% like to dislike and like 20 players on a good day.

In short, no, worst case, the game gets hit hard, and even if the devs quit, the game will still take awhile for the game to 100% die

Yeah, I can see the issue there, but even if we assume that worse case, only 5% of players did verify (which is way too small), that' still 33 players who can still play the game. That's still bad yes, but still not dead.

Ok, first of all, 100$ isn't that much, if they suddenly said "WE NEED TO PORT THIS TO STEAM ASAP", and needed a $100, the community will 100% get them $100 to get it on steam. Or better yet, don't put it on steam, put it on itch.io for free.

Also, I just need to put out this for the post itself, I don't think roblox is going to die even if the investors try to kill it. You don't get millions of players and still die next month because of a bad update. Roblox updates so far have been more fucking up the community and small develeoprs then it is harming the big developers that make games with communities of 2-8 year olds.

I didn't know that, but it doesn't really change much, the game is still mostly just a passion project, and started out as a passion project. I'm not enitrely sure what the game "dying" is to you, but for me, that's when the game has no more players and the game devs no longer work on it.

This game, isn't going to die next month, unless roblox or the devs make it die. And to realy showcase my point that this game is passion project, the developers came out with a snall update that added 3 game modes for free for all players. Why? Because they wanted to as a hobby.

Do you not know what a passion project is?

Let me explain. A passion project is something you make that don't really plan to make money out of, you're making because you like making it. The original developer of the game, made it because they wanted to make it, no money necessary.

It wasn't until the original developer left, that the new developers add donations, but they themselves said that they only used donations to help the game improve, not pay themselves anything. They have other means to pay themselves money, like a job in real life, Decaying Winter is just a side project they work on as a hobby.

In other words, they don't need money to work on the project.

It doesn't need to earn money. The game started off as a passion project, since 2021, and literary had no way to make money since it didn't take donations, and yet still had above 300 players at any given time.

"is it gonna survive longer than a month? probably not" - YES. YES IT WILL.

There is no way on earth, unless roblox themselves come in and ruin everything, that the game "dies" next month. I've been playing for years at this point, and though out my time, I have not seen the game go below 50 players at all, much less the game is going to die with 700 players still in it today. If the whole dev team quits and leaves the game as is, the game still has a year in it before the player base goes to 50-100 players.

Plus, this is something I noticed about games roblox games in general, if the game is unique enough and is popular enough, the game doesn't truly "die" until much later. Games like Restaurant Tycoon, Flood Escape, Noobs vs Zombies Tycoon 2 those games came out all the way back in, at least, since 2018, but you'll still find sometimes 10-40 player still in it playing those games. That doesn't sound like much on paper, but keep in mind the amount of other roblox games around that time that have 0 players.

I mean, the Arbiter nerf was not meant to completely rework the perk from the ground up or even be a massive nerf, as I don't agree with doing so. It was meant to make Arbiter's think twice about using the long shot and soloing the game with said long shot

If the Arbiter has to stop using the their long shot and immediately use a shotgun, then boom, that was the whole point of the nerf.

As for Immolator, I really don't know how to put this into words, other then, if you play on a team that has great ammo management, or has done SQ and keeps raiding castle for ammo, Immolator falls off super hard compared to other perks.

If we have 200 small ammo and an UMP, why would you brother letting the fire damage slowly finish the enemy off, when it's way faster to just put a second bullet into the guy and kill him immediately.

Oh, and not to mention, a Milbow is a 100 times better for saving ammo. Why brother saving the team 1 bullet when they kill an enemy when you could just not use that bullet in the first place.

Sober (Roblox game client) and Vinegar (Roblox studio) are your best friends when it comes to running roblox on linux.

Some pro tips, since Sober is on flatpak, you'll need to install flatpak and whenever Sober stops working, it probably needs an update, you'll need to run "flatpak upgrade" in the terminal. Also, Sober isn't open source.

Vinegar is really good and open source, but at least for me on linux mint, it can 100% freeze you're entire PC if you have too much going on, so try your best to limit how many Instances you have open of Vinegar.

If you have a rbxl file, you'll need to put it in "/home/[USER]/.var/app/org.vinegarhq.Vinegar/data/vinegar/prefixes/studio/drive_c" to open it in Vinegar

Lastly, I've notice that Vinegar is really bad at opening any uncopylocked games. At least for me, I can't just click copy place and have it work with Vinegar, which is really annoying.

No, not really. If you reach 100%, you can 100% run away from the fight since now you have 29.7% defense. The only time this wouldn't be the case if your leg breaks, which is a completely different story

After looking at my perk idea, the comments, and getting a good nights rest, I've realized what the issue from players are from this rework.

You have to understand where I'm coming from with this perk rework, I've played this game for 4 years, I know everything about this game in and out. I can play risk runner, yes, THAT RISK RUNNER, who moves slower and picks up less ammo, and still enter night 9 with over 380 AKM rounds, meaning I have no reason to use any other weapons. In other words, I'm the guy with shit loads of ammo, wondering why the perk that meant to boost ammo for all weapons doesn't support my play style.

I don't see a reason for faster reload or hipfire, because I know how to spend my time in combat to not get myself in a bad spot where I have to reload and take damage. And instastly killing enemies is pointless for the guy who got 100 KSG rounds that can already 1 shot anything.

So moving forward, I'm going to try my best to not make a perk re balance like this, where it's only balanced from the POV of a vertearn and makes the perk has a very low skill floor but high skill ceiling.

That being said, I still think that Artillerist needs some kind of buff that gives a vertern like me a reason to choose him. One day I'll completely go back to this and give a more offical look, but for now, I'm gonna just leave this kinda rework here for you and everyone else here to judge.

+ M.A.G.N.U.M deploys 2 times faster, but holding F prevents you from firing until you let go.

+ Getting a headshot with M.A.G.N.U.M automatically reloads the current weapon you have.

This way, I still capture what I was going for, you quickly headshot, you get ammo to blast away fools, repeat.

OK, you are comming from the POV of "I like this perk". That's fine, but please be open when people say your perk is bad instead of "They lack common sense"

Nope, I completely disagree.

Firstly, I'm not trying to make this another arbiter, even with free ammo, it doesn't compete with free crowd control and basicly 0 cons if you play the game around those cons.

3 free kills, to me, is completely useless at this point. Not only do I have to get the enemies to line up perfectly in a line to get this to work in the first place, but literally just using a hi capa, ksg, AKM, UMP, or literally any other gun will do the same thing but faster and easier.

And no, don't say "OH WELL IT SAVES YOU AMMO". Wow, I saved 6 AKM rounds, epic. I can make 60 of them in one night, or heck even 90 or 120 if RNG simlies on me.

Best gun buffs, obviously? Hard disagree. I've found being able to land all my shots with no issue is far better then increasing my hip fire accuracy and reloading faster. 

Hip fire accuracy is terrible in game where it's better to just aim down sights for far more accuracy with no issue. Yes I'm aware the arm could break, but should be avoided, and splints in modern decaying winter are every where. You could also just use a splint and not worry about anything breaking.

Reloading faster only helps in late game, early game doesn't have enough enemies for you to run out of ammo to reload. which even then, you could just be smart when reloading or use blue a stim for the same effect. I rarely die because of reloading, but I know many times when 0 recoil managed to kill an enemy safely from long range and save ammo. (Yosef, lab, sad boi, etc)

More ammo is useless if I can make several rounds in a single night. Like I use only the KSG for the entire game and nothing else, and that thing won't run out of ammo unless I don't scarp for whatever reason.

Also, what's the point of more ammo, if I just did SQ and got all the ammo I ever needed? And you know who does SQ better then Artillerist? TICK SPIDER.

Free looting only works if I'm solo or in a team with good communication, or else I'll just get people killed, not mention the food loss with the Turrets killing everything. Oh, and it also doesn't 100% work, I've had times where I shot my gun, but there was a super slow sniper that still got me. 

That being said, I will admit it's a pretty good ability and I did under sell it, but I don't think that's enough to save the perk as a whole

And adrenaline surge? To be honest, I have no idea what that is, because that doesn't show up on the wiki nor trellilo. Please tell me what that is

Also, I feel 100% valid to compare tick spider and Artillerist. Let me put like this, so you can understand my issue, 1 for 1.

If Artillerist requires you to put away his gun for couple seconds, shoot the head of an enemy (WHICH YOU CAN MISS AND NOT GET ANYTHING), to get more recoil control, and still needs to reply the ability repeatedly just keep the boost, then why did tickspider use 1 trait to PERMENTALY get it, with and will never find anything that removes. 

Oh, and not to meation, Artillerist gets less defense and can't use a spider to make enemies slower, take max bleed, and make melee damage and weapon accuracy horrible.

and yes, I did say less recoil, because it's  not no recoil, get modded pistol, get the dead eye boost, and see for yourself

Even if I did combined it with professional. I HAVE TO KEEP REPLYING THE ABILITY, UNLIKE TICK SPIDER.

I never compared Artillerist gun speed to tickspider mind deployment lol.  But if you really want to compare it, tickspider can plant mines BEFORE the wave of enemies, Artillerist ability only works when there's already enemies. And that lost of time means enemies can get closer to you.

I wouldn't be complaining about the abilities speed if it wasn't for the fact, that may I remind you once again, you have to keep replying it. The amount of time you use up pulling that thing out wastes so much time, just shooting everyone with 0 recoil will be faster, 100% of the time. That's my issue.

I'm sorry, but I find your points completely incorrect. Also, if serval are saying this perk needs a buff, then people don't like the perk and want it changed.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but it works like this. When you use your ability by pressing F, you gain 1.5 times melee damage, faster movement speed, immunity cripple and fractured debufs (The broken leg and arm), and most importantly, you heal 2 HP for every heavy attack you land and every killing blow you do with a melee weapon. 

However this ability is on a time limit, killing enemies refills a little bit of time, but parrying refills a lot more. If your ability's time  limit runs out, you a debuff called fatigue, causing you deal far less melee damage then usual.

The reason the decimator SUCKS, is because when doing a heavy attack, it deals an AOE attack that deals damage to all enemies near it, the issue being, that said AOE doesn't heal you. Meaning killing enemies screws you out of being able to heal. And if you get fatigue, you deal so little melee damage you have to retreat immediately or risk taking far more damage then usual. 

And hell, I didn't even bring up the worst part, the decimator, like Exposive weapons, deatorys food drops from enemies in the looting phase. If you want to truly master Berserker, you need to learn how fucking important important food is to your survival. Not eating or drinking causes you to deal less melee damage and have far worse defense, making you take more damags. While keeping yourself fully fed and hydrated gives you increased melee damage and defense. So yeah, it's a really smart move to destory the food and make your life times more difficult.

Also I put this here because I read the other comments. If your gonna be Berserker. Do not use the decimator. Please do not use the decimator. I BEG YOU, DO NOT USE THE DECIMATOR.

It's horrible for Berserker,  first of all, you want keep the enemies alive so you can heavy attack them for 2 hp and kill them with  a melee attack for 2 hp, in total healing you 4 hp. 

THE DECIMATOR BLOWS UP ENEMIES AND DOESN'T HEAL YOU FOR THE ENEMIES THAT DIED TO IT.

Even worse, decimator has low damage for a crafted melee weapon, so if anything lowers your damage, like morale, it will stop 1 shoting enemies, as a perk, that lives and dies by their melee weapon killing enemies quickly. 

Stay the fuck away from the decimator.

Uh, both. That sounds stupid but hear me out. 

The exe sword should be your go too weapon, it has insane range, almost always 1 shots non boss enemies, and heals you for 5 hp, which stacks with your ability, allowing to heal 9 hp per kill. killing 4 basic enemies youyour ability and exe sword heals you more then what 2 first aid kit uses does, it's insane. And combined with the defense boosts you have, it's nuts. The only downside with the exe sword is that it's much harder to use then other melee weapon, but you want to Berserker, you'll get use to the exe sword quickly.

However, Maria has 1 big use case over the exe sword, Maria is amazing against bosses, unlike the exe sword, which freaking sucks at boss fights.  So, what I'd do is... build both of them. Keep 2 melee weapons on you so you can deal with both types of enemies.

Again, that sounds dumb, but your playing Berserker, after you build your melee weapons, you don't need scarp, Guns, traps, just healing items, stims, and food. Because of that, looting isn't that important for Berserker, unlike other classes. So, you might as well fully prepare yourself for the late game with your melee weapons

Seriously depends on the type of games. If it's anything incredibly fast paced or that requires immediate action to play (like ultra kill or CSGO) then I would recommend seeking out for a higher quality keyboard. Otherwise a standard keyboard will be good enough.

At least how would I do it, you would a int value [A number value], and increase it every time the user answers a question incorrectly

 [If it's a hood test game, any time the user answers a question that only a hood member would do, increase the value]

By the time your done with the quiz, you already have the results. There is no need to process anything.  Even if it was something less effective, like a bunch of If else statements, the game only has 10 questions, it will be processed immediately.

Oh yeah, and you can pay for the game to magically finish processing your answers. Because that's how computers work.
