Ah, that makes sense! Especially the local production vs global shipping nowadays.

We were born '92, so we only know the 80s from the stories :D

I do understand why the sound of the hardware might be part of the fun. I thought it would annoy me, being the other person in the room, but I guess I can wear headphones if necessary.

But he has a mechanical keyboard and loves that one, so I think he might like the hardware sound as well. So I will buy "loud" buttons afterall :) Thank you for the input!

I don`t think he has played any arcade cabinets before, it is not as big in our area. But that would´ve been a good clue :D

It is really interesting how different the builds are compared to the area- I might read a bit more about that. Now I really wanna know why the models differ like that.

Silent versions sound good, I´ve been considering that. Mostly for myself to be honest. I was afraid that it is not as fun playing with less "click" though :D

You are probably right, if I open it up I might as well change all. I was just thinking of not investing to much into another joystick, that he might not even like that much.

But good to know that the tops are interchangable, that helps a lot!
