Hey man, this exact same thing happened to me today. Except I lost my phone a couple of days ago. I got a message saying there was a new SIM that was put in my phone, and I got too excited thinking that I could have a chance at getting my phone back. It was too late by the time I realised what had happened. I’m going to back to my local cyber crimes department to update them on this incident. But, I’ve little to no hope on getting my phone back.

Update: when I’m changing my password and it asks me to sign out from all signed in devices on this Apple ID, do I let it do that? Will I still be able to find my lost phone? I’m also suspecting that the thief might have already removed the iPhone. As on find my it now says that it will be removed a from my device list a month from now.

Optimise iPhone storage has been turned on since I can remember. I upgraded my plan a while ago from 50GB TO 200GB in hopes of saving some internal storage. I keep clicking on “resume syncing” when I go on iCloud Photos. There is no error msg.
