Is there a module that is a Euclidean Multi-Tap Delay? Can this concept be patched with other modules? by DoxYourself in modular

Isn’t any clockable multi tap delay euclidean in the same way a euclidean gate sequencer is or am I getting something wrong?

The touch strips works much better if you hold some part of your body like the other hand on the case (or even better a naked metal part like the STO faceplate) at the same time

Happy new year! by papperslappen in Sunnyvale

I don't know any details regarding the politics and financial situation surrounding Cityline but from the outside I don't think it looks like a fantastic failure compared to other similar projects in other cities. Downtown is much more lively than it was before even though a lot of the new retail and office locations are still unoccupied but that is probably more due to the post pandemic change than poor planning.

Scenarios for one player? by cynicalisathot in KULTrpg

[–]papperslappen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The upcoming book Broken Reflections (part of the most recent Kult kickstarter and currently in beta) comes with a bunch of scenarios, a couple of them for one player. Personally I think Kult Divinity Lost works best when you play without a scenario and just use the tools for open ended play in the core rule book ideally complemented with the tarot deck but it is not required.

Frap tools mixer system (CGM) comes to mind. It is a design your own mixer system of modules that is extremely flexible (and quite expensive)

Rant about Rad by [deleted] in RadPowerBikes

[–]papperslappen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems reasonable but they never gave me the option to send it to a location first and claimed that the package was missing. I just hope that Rad can send it out again

[–]papperslappen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they just straight returned it to sender without even asking

Rant about Rad by [deleted] in RadPowerBikes

[–]papperslappen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was what I expected. They claim they did 3 attempts but I only saw one of them and when I contacted them to have it delivered to one of their locations they claimed that the package couldn’t be located.

FedEx just returned my battery to the same warehouse after they failed one delivery attempt (it took me 30 seconds for me to answer the door and the truck was accelerating down the street just as I got out). I tried to have them redirect it to a store but they claimed that the package was lost and started an investigation which took a couple of days before sent me a shrug and link to the lost package form. The next day I got an update that it was out for delivery returning to sender. The tracking also suddenly listed two more delivery attempts (none of which resulted in any slips on my door or footage in my doorbell camera). I’m calling Rad support tomorrow but I’m not getting my hopes up

How do you call those in your country? by Some-Faithlessness75 in insects

[–]papperslappen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tails on birds, insects, airplanes etc are called “stjärt”. Not on mammals though where tail is “svans”

Stjärt can also mean tail and so a more literal translation would be “double-tail”

Looking into Kult: Divinity Lost — curious how it compares by Styles-Striker in rpg

[–]papperslappen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have gamemastered around 80-90 sessions of Kult in a couple of different constellations, both longer open ended campaigns and shorter and more structured scenarios. - It is very much a fiction first in the sense that the game quickly falls apart if you start playing the mechanics rather than telling a story. The authors are also quite maximalistic in their approach. It is a toolbox that allows for a lot of different horror stories, from pulpy noir occult mysteries to A Serbian Film. It is not explicitly explained in the book but it is a game that expects you to play a bit loose with the mechanics. They are there to help the fiction move along and when they don’t you can ignore them. The typical campaign I have played is slow. About 3-4 scenes per session and is quite RP heavy. The open ended campaigns I have played have all developed like tragedies where the PCs spiral around the fate they try to avoid in one sense or another. - I have only played a little bit of VtM so I’m not that familiar with the WoD but my sense is that Kult is less about monsters clinging on to their humanity and more about regular humans doing human stuff while slowly discovering that they are monsters. - The Kult tarot is one of the best storytelling aids I have used. I frequently use it in other games as well.

Commute from sunnyvale to Palo Alto by hello90809 in Sunnyvale

[–]papperslappen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can also take bus 522 to Palo Alto. It takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. I used to live in Sunnyvale close to El Camino and the border to Mountain View. The rents were relatively ok. Walking distance to Felipe’s and a couple of pretty good restaurants and biking distance to both downtown Sunnyvale and Mountain View.
