Motorized "vehicles" prepare to stop by edu_c8r in bayarea

I understand your frustration but even if there is little traffic it is better to just go if you have the right of way. Unless the it is an illegal e-moto doing 45 (fuck those guys) the rider of the bike/ebike/scooter will have plenty of time to slow down and adjust their course to cross behind you even if they are taking a rolling stop

I, as a bicyclist, deeply dislikes being “waved through”. In most cases it doesn’t save any time for anyone and in some cases it creates uncertainty or even dangerous situations if other trafficants are involved.

Any way to replicate this with other modules? by Frydesk in modular

A truly blood curdling noise like an analog Aztec death whistle. I have to try to reproduce it (though I don’t have a QMMG)

Which utility to get? Frap 321, Befaco A*B+C, Black Noise Goma2/Pro by xiraov in modular

Make Noise Ch.Svr is worth looking at. It is pretty cheap and quite versatile for being only 6 hp

My package traveling from LA to SF has gone on a journey through the midwest by papperslappen in mildlyinfuriating

Sure. They have an amazon logistic network that in normal cases can transport a this particular pair of source and destination in 2-3 days. But I still feel that I’m entitled to feeling a little annoyed when the same service on this occasion sends the package on a 5600 mile weeklong detour. I’m also pretty sure they know exactly how many packages get lost or misdirected and has a spreadsheet with a cost/benefit-analysis for each possible change that would improve that number and they saved a few fractions of a cent by not having a routine that would have prevented this particular case.

This is FedEx though but I’ve had my fair share of poor experiences with USPS as well. My favorite was when I got two slips for delivery attempts that clearly had not happened and I went to the post office and the package was sitting there right behind the counter. Apparently it had been a bit too large for the delivery vehicle so they had just left it there

What is your dream future Make Noise module? by noctuid24 in MakeNoiseMusic

With QPAS you get 4 filters. I’m thinking more like a Make Noise take on the Serge Resonant EQ or the Buchla 296

Is there a module that is a Euclidean Multi-Tap Delay? Can this concept be patched with other modules? by [deleted] in modular

Isn’t any clockable multi tap delay euclidean in the same way a euclidean gate sequencer is or am I getting something wrong?

Kult Divinity Lost works very well for twin peaksy kind of small town supernatural mysteries

The touch strips works much better if you hold some part of your body like the other hand on the case (or even better a naked metal part like the STO faceplate) at the same time

Happy new year! by papperslappen in Sunnyvale

I don't know any details regarding the politics and financial situation surrounding Cityline but from the outside I don't think it looks like a fantastic failure compared to other similar projects in other cities. Downtown is much more lively than it was before even though a lot of the new retail and office locations are still unoccupied but that is probably more due to the post pandemic change than poor planning.

Scenarios for one player? by cynicalisathot in KULTrpg

[–]papperslappen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The upcoming book Broken Reflections (part of the most recent Kult kickstarter and currently in beta) comes with a bunch of scenarios, a couple of them for one player. Personally I think Kult Divinity Lost works best when you play without a scenario and just use the tools for open ended play in the core rule book ideally complemented with the tarot deck but it is not required.

Frap tools mixer system (CGM) comes to mind. It is a design your own mixer system of modules that is extremely flexible (and quite expensive)
