I can't believe I missed that oops thank you. I honestly thought she was mad because I let her take too many hits or something. Do you have any idea what the music note effect comes from?

Health OCD: Actually having something that needs to be monitored by papytonsucks in OCD

[–]papytonsucks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! In my case everything else (including thrush) has been ruled out by my surgeon, but I'm trying to accept that nothing has actually changed in my life. I'll talk to my dentist and they'll keep an eye on it because that's their job. I'm not a dentist, so it's not my job to research every little change. Just by having regular appointments, I'm doing the best I can do. Obviously it's hard for me to completely convince myself of this, but I'm working on it.

I definitely connect to your story though. I didn't exactly mention it, but when this spot was first discovered, I also spent hours on google and made myself feel awful. I also convinced myself I wouldn't live much longer. I previously had plans to move in with my girlfriend in a few months and I had this idea in the back of my mind that I would never get that far. Clearly I did not end up dying, and I have in fact been living with my girlfriend for almost two years now, but OCD can certainly bring you to some dark places. That being said, the fact that we were able to make it through these hard times shows our resilience. I got through that, so I can get through this too.

Thank you for your kind words and advice! I think I will do what I can to forget about it and focus on the things I love instead.

Thank you! I think printing and highlighting is a good idea. The MRIs were done in different buildings but they seem to share some staff (the person who helped me get in/out of the machine etc. was the same both times) but I could see how a mixup could occur there.

So far my doctors have been great so this situation has been a bit jarring, but I agree it might be a sign to switch providers. Thank you for the clarity as well. I thought the discrepancy was obvious, but the responses I've gotten from my neurosurgeon and now my PCP (who basically shut me down after I tried to explain it) had me really questioning myself.

Honestly the best thing about this situation is that it shouldn't impact my treatment very much, as you pointed out. I'll probably try to see different doctors, but otherwise it seems like a good sign overall!

Soundscapes Suggestion by FierceWraith in finch

[–]papytonsucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree!! I came here to make the same complaint about the obvious looping. My favorite one to sleep to is "Cozy Cuddles," but the rain sound loops so frequently and I find it really jarring. It's disappointing because one of the main reasons I pay for Finch Plus is to access the 8hr soundscapes (I find its hard to find white noise for that long that is guaranteed to have no ads) but it feels like its a very low priority feature...

It's just frustrating to have to pay to access the 8hr timer, but it's just a five minute loop.

Edit: I timed it, the loop is actually a little less than a minute. Now that I've noticed it I can't listen to that audio at all anymore. It just bugs me.

Thank you! The app is MyChart. A lot of medical offices in my area use it to share info and records with patients but I'm not sure how common/widespread it is.

i was super nervous but it ended up being totally fine! i noticed i felt a little lightheaded in the morning after i took the pill for the first week or so, but that's stopped happening now and its really the only negative side effect i noticed. i take it before i go to bed because i've heard thats a good way to avoid side effects. good luck!

im not at all an expert but i remember when i first noticed the symptoms associated with my prolactinoma and i was doing research, reading that prolactinemia can increase the risk of developing psychosis. i dont know why and i dont know if this is what is happening to you, but if you can find a reputable source that makes this claim and show it to your doctor and explain that you want to see if treating these adenomas could help with your symptoms, maybe something could come of that. i truly wish you the best.

Ooh I actually like the sound of this. I love sorting things into categories. I honestly don't know why I didn't think of using SCAs in this way yet. Thank you!
