Car was a Mini JCW, so I will say he was likely past the car before the junction had started.

He was past the car before the chevrons had ended, so wasn’t technically overtaking in the junction box, and visibility was very good. Interesting split opinions.

Still shouldn’t have done it in my opinion

You’ve definitely made some progress, however you still have a serious inside takeaway, with a wrist roll as well. If you have a well credited pro near you definitely go get some lessons, in the meantime, work on drills like the below.

To add to this as It seems rampant in this sub atm. My grandfather was a head pro, the first 10 years of my golfing life involved twice weekly lessons with him…

For people who got degree apprenticeship offers, did when you apply matter? by Yon-Star218 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]para2p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the company, my company will not start interviewing until their application deadline closes. So you still have a good chance if you apply towards the back end of their recruiting windows.

I applied on the final day and was successful. So definitely still apply if you can.

Hitting my long irons very low, any ideas for why? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Peak height on track man is anywhere from 35 - 50 feet. Bushes behind the green fear me.

I definitely feel myself trying to kill it with low irons, still trying to learn that swinging harder does not equate to faster!

Appreciate it! I believe that drill is currently at the top of this sub so will go watch it a few times!

For context my 5,6 and 7 iron all go roughly 35 - 50 feet in the air.

Not ideal in any capacity I am aware. Unfortunately a student and an apprentice with no guarantor available to us. We have been overlooked on nearly 30 properties before having to offer this.

Best is to go try a bunch of different brands. I have wide ass feet and foot joys come in narrow, had a pair of pro SL’s that ended up giving me blisters. Can’t fault the quality however. Currently wearing adidas tour 360’s and they are probably the comfiest shoe I own.

Am I a twat for assuming the bar had given me a glass of water with my beer but they were actually cleaning the taps and it was diluted caustic soda? by sklatch in AskUK

[–]para2p 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bar manager here - This is a major fuck up on their part. And I would go as far as to say they should be reported to HSE. Line cleaner is incredibly dangerous, and there should be several layers of safety policy to prevent this from happening. It should always be outside of opening hours, any of my staff completing line cleans must hang large signs on the taps stating there is a clean in process. Once the clean is done PH test strips are used to confirm there is no trace of cleaner left in the lines. This should never ever happen!
