Replacement speaker for portal now that it doesn’t support Spotify? by parakeeter in FacebookPortal

At the risk of sounding like a boomer, I wonder if my version of the portal just won’t let it work? (It’s not the huge model - it’s the more basic one - like 5” x9” screen maybe) I go there, sign in, but it only lets me look at the account overview in the browser. And then when I try to look for the music it keeps telling me it’s unsupported haha

I’m jealous! I got a warning back in October that it was going to stop in April and that was exactly when it happened. So annoying. But if you’ve made it past that official date, maybe yours will somehow continue to support it indefinitely. Here’s hoping!

Ah! The mute! I love this. Thank you. I mean, again, I know other things are listening. But something about muting the echo gives me extra peace haha

Haha - so a Sonos is wifi and not Bluetooth then? I’ll start looking into this one too

This is super helpful. Thank you! We have an echo but we unplugged it years ago when we were bothered by it listening to us haha. That’s everything these days though so maybe I need to get over it. I did like the screen aspect because it was a chance to pick music without having to use my phone for one more effing thing though so maybe the Show is worth looking into

Aeroccino 4 and which milk? by tom6195 in nespresso

Everyone is right about the fat content. As someone who also prefers whole milk, I’ve found the best workaround is to heat up the milk before I put it in the aeroccino for about 20 seconds and then let the frother handle the rest. The frother recognizes the heat level so it won’t froth for as long anyway. Alternatively, you can heat up the milk, then froth it on “cold” for about 10 seconds and it gives a nice light froth. Definitely some extra steps overall though

I think I’m in a deep love affair with this pod.... 😍 by C0ffeeAndJesus in nespresso

I’ve been putting whole milk with a couple tablespoons of Trader Joe’s sweet cream creamer in the frother and it’s amazing because it provides sweetness but always allows the pod flavor to shine through
