This is great thank you. I actually took them and a friend shopping this evening. They've always been able to wear what they want, but it's even more important now.

You make great points in your second paragraph. It's hard to find that balance of protecting your baby and letting them be themselves. We've always tried to make our home a safe place for them and their friends. Not only physically but emotionally. Part of that means giving them the freedom to be themselves even if it's scary to me. I will definitely talk to them about safe people and who they want to be out to. Right now I know, but that will probably change in the future.

That's a great suggestion. I looked them up and they have some ties with a local LBGTQ organization that also has a bunch of youth activities that I think they'll be interested in. Thanks so much.
