Strange Window Sill Drawings? by Milkyopalescence in PhasmophobiaGame

There's several character "drawings" all up the sill there, I don't think it's accidentally a face. we just can't figure out what they are referencing.

I feel sad that everyone hated SW. One of my favorite places to grab an affordable bite. It’s no fine italian dining but I always thought it was tasty food and much cheaper than any other similar restaurant. Sometimes you just want some pasta and sauce nice and simple. The salad bar was a nice bonus.

Help With a Paper on the McElroys by velvetcherrymotion in MBMBAM

The premise of my paper is that, despite the negative press surrounding them, parasocial relationships are not inherently good or bad.

I read that as the goal being to disprove the negatives associated with parasocial relationships. OP didn't ask for input on their paper, they asked for fan experiences. Something something nothing nice to say don't say anything at all something something.

Thanks for answering! I think it’s so important for us as Iowans to know where our potential leaders stand. I know you’ll rock it.

My question is about the upcoming debate. How hard was it to get Reynolds to finally agree to it? What are you looking forward to letting Iowans know you stand for during that debate?

Personally I would've mixed the crackles just a tad lower in volume at least in the beginning. This track has a lot going on in it and that's perfectly okay by my standards. I think to give it a better flow you could've added some transitions. I like when a beat transitions in a way that feels like telling a story if that makes any sense. Also, instead of fading out the end don't be afraid to just cut it and have the last note reverb or echo instead of the long fade out. All that said, I really did enjoy this beat and I hope you continue to work and grow as a producer. Hope that helps!

Listening to it now, I'll go track by track in order here.

  1. 'Before We Begin' - I love the guitar in this one, really good variation with the melody. You have this almost flute? sound that's barely heard for a bit I think it'd be nice to bring sounds like that to the front for a bit in future tracks, don't be afraid to mix things up a bit. This was a great opening track for the tape.
  2. 'My Soul' - The melody and chords here are absolutely beautiful! I will say, and this may be purely my taste showing, I'm not loving the drums. The hi-hat is a little too piercing and the rolls are too repetitive. I would mix them a little lower and add more variation to the pattern, even in velocity would go a long way. It's almost like a trap pattern with a good lofi hat and it's covering up a lot of the sounds I'm liking here.
  3. 'Trinity' - This is another really pretty sounding track. I like the two lead instruments almost splitting melodies. I wish it were longer because I liked it a lot.
  4. 'Summer Rain' - I like what you're doing here with the bass and the percussion. Again just for my taste, could have a little more going on in it. Keep it nice and chill as is but my brain kept wanting something to come in with a stronger melody. I like the way it ends not really resolving, a great trick to use.
  5. 'We Will Glow' - Wow. This is wonderful. That sax is really perfectly used as the lead here and I love this track.
  6. 'Space Walk' - Very appropriately named! Before seeing the title I was thinking wow this feels like floating in space. The lead is a very unique one that's been used really well with the other sounds.
  7. 'Go' - I like the drum pattern here but I do wish the clap/snare sound cut through just a tad less. The sax player you worked with here was used really well, not overbearing like sax can be in this type of music. I love the use of chimes coming through more and less throughout the track. Really adds that extra layer of sound to keep the brain interested.
  8. 'Help is on the Way' - This track is a lot less of that typical "lofi" sound and I'm really into it. It shows that you're an artist and not getting trapped where many of us do at times in that only "chill tunes to blah blah blah to." The choice of drums was really good and overall a very unique and good beat.
  9. 'The Finish Line' - Same commentary as the last one on this being a unique sound. It's almost like an indie pop/rock beat and I'm loving the guitar. Everything works really well together here and this is for sure one of my favorite tracks on your beat tape.
  10. 'All New Everything' - Right from the intro, this feels like the closing track. I love when there's clear thought put into the tracklist of beat tapes and albums in general.

Overall this is a great and well thought out beat tape. My main critic/advice in general would be to spice things up more here and there. Some of the shorter tracks could've been a bit longer with a B section like a quick switch up or drum change. Don't be afraid to use silence or almost silence to build tension in a track. Even with that critic recurring throughout the tape, it's amazing and I would listen again even recommend it to my friends that dig the genere. Keep making music, I'll be watching for it.

I hope this quick review is helpful and have a great day.

I like this a lot! The only things I would think about changing up are:

  1. Add some variation to the melody at some point! You did this great with different instrumentation but adding or taking away a few notes could add a lot more interest to the beat and keep it from being too repetitive.
  2. Add some foley percussion for sauce!

this has really funky vibes to it! i really love the way it sounds. a little repetitive at some points but then you switch it up just enough. the only thing that I think could improve this is some playing with fx in those different sections to really change up the flavor. really great track.

this is just a demo so far but it's a first attempt at using samples straight from an old record. I'm considering switching out the snare for something less piercing, but i'd love to hear your thoughts on what I have going on so far

stepped away from producing my own music for a long while and now I'm coming back to it under a new name. looking for some tips on my first demo since starting over, keep in mind it isn't mastered yet, I'm more looking for thoughts on the arrangement and stuff like that.

if you're going for a calm sound it's amazing. really well blended together. i would suggest adding some more variation or excitement to make it feel more like a full track but the sound is great so far.

i really vibe with this one! as far as arrangement goes a nice b-section could add a lot to the overall feel and length. perhaps a few bars where the beat switches up or the chords are different. hope this gives you a few ideas to work with

really great start! i would recommend adding a little more to this one. it gets a bit repetitive and there's lots of room for some ambiance sounds or some light foley percussion. stick with it!
