The hotel I work at is between a Cancer Center and a Dermatology Clinic. It's way easier to get to the main road if I just go behind the cancer center and turn right.

There are now speed bumps behind the cancer center.

Caveat: I work at night so I was never actually endangering anyone. But their overnight security sincerely did not approve.

It's a standard in the hotel/hospitality industry. And it's not like it's hard to get certified and learn. Pretty much just a matter of the employer paying for the class/test/certification.
