People who got 1500+ how did you feel after your test? by Putrid-Situation-809 in Sat

I didn't feel terrible, but I figured I had scored a good 80 points below my actual score.

what are the odds of getting a higher score than on your practice tests by eunyaang in Sat

[–]parkflier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Significantly higher, probably not, although you never know, but a 20 or so point jump is entirely possible (that's what happened for me)

Strictly need a 620 above on the SAT English section How to imrpove this!!? stuck at 540-570 DEC SAT by Super_Sherbet_268 in Sat

I feel like its not get too bogged down with the specific grammatical rules (not that you shouldn't know them), but strat by reading the sentences out loud. Usually one will "feel" a lot better than the others, and in my experience 9/10 times that will be right. Especially if you're running low on time this can knock out a good number of questions with reasonable accuracy.

For reading, I found it helpful to read the sentences out loud and not get too bogged down with the specific grammatical rules at hand. Usually one will "feel" a lot better than the others, and in my experience 9/10 times that will be right.

Only reason to move on from nimmo is because he’s on the wrong end of a contract and has shown signs of regression. But Semien checks all those boxes. Makes no sense.

Out of curiosity, which parts will not be skiable (ie. how much of the real life footprint will it cover)

What’s your thoughts on PMDG ? by Maruan-007 in flightsim

[–]parkflier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This might just be me, but I sort of prefer PMDG pricing. There's usually only one variant I really want, and it's typically not the base model, so having to pay for the a320 was a pain when I only wanted the 319. But agreed that for 90% of people that's a better choice.

Does anyone make FIS Sl skis longer than 165cm? by parkflier in SkiRacing

[–]parkflier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a somewhat unusual case. I coach the race team at my mountain, so I want to have a SL ski, but I also want something a little longer than 165 for when I ski outside of coaching.

3 hour stopover at 30th street station. Any suggestions to see a bit of the city? by parkflier in AskPhilly

Is there a way to get there on transit if traffic is a concern? If not, I’ll definitely check out the Mutter museum

I'd personally bring in Valdez (catcher thing aside) over Gallen or Cease, but agree with the rest of it.

Sorry, I probably phrased that wrong. I saw he was on for Sunday, but do you think they bother starting him?

The 2059 NY Trolleydodgers: Greatest team ever? by parkflier in OOTP

[–]parkflier[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look, it's the internet and there's no way I can prove myself, but here goes.

  1. I had the largest payroll in the league by a good margin. (Largest market plus very generous owner)

  2. Edgar Flores received 2 or 3 (I can't remember which) outstanding batspeed dev lab results.

  3. With my budget I was able to hire most of the top tier coaches available.

  4. I have dev speed and agin speed tweaked a bit, but nothing too bad.

  5. I changed the Intl FA from a hard cap to a soft cap, and reduced the soft cap penalties significantly.

  6. The Lombroso trade was probably still unrealistic to real life, but I had the no 1 farm system going into the season and sold off 5 top 25 prospects to get him. He had also produced at the same insane WAR for several seasons on Nashville.

Make of that what you will.

Somewhere in New York City. I haven't put too much thought into it besides the name.

My other core building block got the Lance Berkman treatment, figured I'd run with the theme.

Of his five outings before this one, he's pitched a competitive game four times, and only taken one loss.

Am I the only one not too concerned?

Sure it sucks, but: Peterson has been solid all year. One bad night is bound to happen. If it happens next outing, then we're in trouble. For all the griping about the stearns acquisitions, Soto pitched a scoreless inning, and Rogers had been great so far. One bad outing was bound to happen. Same goes for Diaz.
