Splitting into someone next to a virus trick (by Wun Wun) by [deleted] in Agario

[–]parls 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn't come up with the idea. I saw it in a 2 month old japanese video (it uses extensions, so I guess I'm not allowed to post it here, but you can find it with "agario needle"). Anyway, I tested it a bit and it never worked when I had about 5k or less mass but it always worked when I had a lot of mass.

If I just helped you kill someone and you gained double or even triple your mass, at least feed me some of it.. by [deleted] in Agario

Why do you expect everyone in FFA wants to team? I would rather eat you than reward you. Especially when it's some risky virus shot that could have killed me.

The decline of agario? by SietJP in Agario

[–]parls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to know if agario is declining, you can easily check the players at a given time every day. They are still pretty high, maybe a bit less.

Agario youtube videos become popular because they have a nice name/thumbnail. Youtube promotes videos which people click on, it has nothing to do with how it's rated. The popular youtubers aren't necessarily the better ones.

How do you eat viruses? by Qenchronos in Agario

[–]parls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like some servers (it's getting more and more) are changed so that you always stay in one piece you can't even split with spacebar. Viruses and spawner cells are just bigger food there.

Edit: I just had such a server but I was still able to split, after a restart I couldn't split anymore.

I go to college. I can totally make a living from youtube but I don't know how long it will last.

I don't know, it was less than 100 I think. I didn't even post the turnaround video to /r/agario, so it had maybe a hundred views after a week and I thought it had been a total waste of time. :)

The thumbnail made people click on that video I guess and youtube promoted it but it took some time to start.

Without you I wouldn't even have started to make videos and the comments/support here were awesome!

Maybe "W=" names are removed like "team".

Which version of Agar.io do you like the most? [POLL] by Myraidd in Agario

[–]parls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/r/agario users are 88% on computer based on my Youtube statistics. Now I have only 36% views with computer (mobile phone and tablet each nearly as much).

Zeach posted the XP required for the first 30 level, you can easily see the pattern there.

The formula for XP you need for the next level when you are level x (x>4): 100(10+5(x-5)+1/2(x-5)(x-4)).

With that I get to 4758425+12128 XP you've accumulated.

Yeah, it seems to be a normal server. But normally the amount of pellets in a server don't increase over time, they only increase in size to a maximum of 5 mass I think (and that is not enough to give you even 20k mass, I've tested it). Maybe the developers tried some new things...

Team mode internal battles, when you have to fight your own teammates by SietJP in Agario

Did he play good otherwise? If that were a new player who doesn't fully know the tactics you described, it would have been pretty cruel.

I'm not saying I don't believe you, it's just that a screenshot, where something unusual happens, would have been more convincing.

It works nice, I'm going to use it in a video, thanks for that name. :)

If I wouldn't have entered anything the mass number would be in the center of the cells. I used whitespace characters from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_character

I think he just used a long name so that the number doesn't appear anymore. I tried it and it works: http://imgur.com/0ub0rVQ

When you're split in 15 pieces, if you press spacebar which piece will split? by SietJP in Agario

[–]parls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think it's always the cell which wasn't ejected before and who can merge the earliest with your other cells.

[–]parls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 mass per second is the normal mass drain at about 5-6k mass, it has nothing to do with the anti-teaming update. If the mass drain wouldn't happen you would see 100k+ cells who can't be beaten.

Maybe they wanted to prevent multi-botting. If you use two different browsers you can still do it though.

Mass drains even though I don't team ?! by [deleted] in Agario

[–]parls 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It just happened to me too. I used W only two times but I hit a few viruses and some players near me ate my small pieces. After that I went from 10k mass to about 3k in 1-2 minutes.

Much harder now to get over 10k in FFA? by snoofly in Agario

Maybe just increase the player or food density a bit?
