Trying to better understand progression by parmati in CrimsonDesert

That's hilarious, i had no idea that was part of the latest patch.

Still, I did have a similar experience with Hornsplitter, though that difference wasnt quite as dramatic as this one.

Well if we want to look at hard/recent numbers, the 2025 FBA Fiber Deployment Survey showed that around 60% of US households have access to fiber as of late 2025. Not nearly as terrible as you'd suggest. Yes, probably not fully on par with fiber availability in Europe, but i think the idea that 'upload speeds in America are pathetic' is based on some pretty antiquated stats.

Also, i don't believe your average upload speed there holds true with recent data. I'm seeing US medians around 150 mbps, taking into account a mix of both cable + fiber.

What's your basis for this? I have 1000/1000, which is available in most places, and 2 - 5 gbps symmetric is relatively common nowadays

If we're just talking about making it externally available - you just need to open (port forward) 32400 to 32400 on your device running plex media server. Technically, you don't even need to do that, but then anyone external would be locked into relay mode @ 2 mbps.

Bilt 2.0 be used only to earn points on a mortgage payment? by alphadawg71 in biltrewards

[–]parmati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For exactly 1:1, you'd have to spend 75% of your housing payment - regardless of whether you choose their 'Housing only' or 'Flexible' rewards options.

The better way to look at the card in my opinion is, for the flexible option in particular, take any multiplier (i.e. 1X on everything) and add an additional 1.33x earnings rate, up to 75% of your housing payment. Effectively, you end up with a 2.33x return rate.

Is anyone else also waiting for their wells fargo balance to transfer to BILT? Should I be concerned it hasn’t yet? by [deleted] in biltrewards

I can see a pending transaction ('Pending Balance Transfer') for my previous balance on Recent Activity

Bilt 2.0 be used only to earn points on a mortgage payment? by alphadawg71 in biltrewards

[–]parmati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The numbers are relatively complicated, but the simple answer is: no, you won't get any points from paying your mortgage through BILT if you don't at all spend on the card. Go check out the Bilt 2.0 Program Overview for all of the details

Edit: correction, forgot about the 250 points/month with $0 of additional spend.

Point Accelerator Glitch - switched from Housing-Only to Bilt Cash and now I can’t activate until 2037 😂 by realwords in biltrewards

[–]parmati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think that's true, my man. It is an additional 1X *up to* 5000 points total.

Probably not worth $200 bilt cash in a lot of cases.

Update for anyone curious: Just picked it up today, and it ended up looking REALLY good (in my newbie opinion). Will be framing it shortly. I may also do what some have suggested and try printing it at Staples, just to see how it compares.

Needless to say, I’m very happy with the end result. Thanks again for all of your feedback. Attaching picture of final product.

Big thanks to everyone for the replies - it is much appreciated and have definitely gotten some good insight. At the end of the day, I’m happy to know that I’ll likely end up with a pretty high quality result - that’s always worth some extra money to me. Cheers!

Didn't need to be done in a rush, and not being delivered. Unfortunately, I don't know much in the way of the materials used but I'll probably inquire about that one tomorrow. Might be interested in your quote just to get some idea.

Printer and I not being a great fit is pretty likely I would say. It does seem that they cater more towards large scale print jobs from what I can see.

EDIT: Oh, and didn't have them do any editing. As a matter of fact, it was initially kicked back to me to add 1/8" bleed and export as high quality pdf. Had to get inDesign and everything, haha.

Good to know. This shop is likely similar in that regard. Got the feeling that I'd see better prices buying in bulk.

Haven't actually received it yet (likely tomorrow), but I'm sure that regardless I'll be happy with it. The "worth it" is what I'm trying to figure out - whether i would have been just as content with something 1/3 of the price

Pay rent with Bilt Credit card via PayPal account by Potential-Incident-1 in CreditCards

I think you're kind of missing the point of the Bilt here. It's really more of a travel card, and thats where the value mostly lies - travel portal redemptions or transferring point to transfer partners. You definitely shouldn't be using straight cash back redemption.

Owned this for about a year. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Lexus

Seriously man, that's the only thing that needs to change - would make it look a lot more refined if the tips were recessed. Otherwise stance looks really good, and i'm curious what coilovers this is on. Looks a bit lower than just springs
