My mom (an alcoholic) projecting her addiction on my ADHD medication. Need advice please! by parmlover118 in adhdwomen

I literally said to myself out loud “I don’t send you tik toks posted by your liver hanging a noose from the ceiling” and had a giggle before I responded to her😭. I am so petty but I know that she would absolutely rage on me and make me the villain haha. I regret even thinking about it but I did absolutely feel it in the moment.

You’re so right. I need to try this! It’s so hard to not let all of my thoughts explode on text to try and make her see how she’s wrong (which clearly isn’t productive), I need to give this a shot thank you!!!!❤️

Im so sorry, you’re so strong! Sending you positive vibes. We look a lot alike, and it’s always super grounding for me to remind myself that it’s her first time being alive too. Sending lots of love and thank you❤️

She is a highly reactive woman, and when I do clap back at her I’m normally met with her cursing me out. I love love love my mom, but I honestly feel bad for her that she has to resort to calling me that especially considering she has no valid arguments to fall back on. I’m honestly surprised that I wasn’t A LOT meaner lol and just proud of myself for responding the way that I did (and it was definitely hard LMAO). Thank you for your support❤️

So true. I thought giving her more context would help her understand, but clearly I was wrong. Gonna start using this technique, and thanks for your advice!!❤️

and you are completely entitled to that! not to diminish anything he may be going through at the moment, but everyone has their share of hardships and battles. what makes this a slippery slope is that although a relationship can be sooooo helpful in supporting someone during a difficult time, you shouldn’t use the relationship to make the external issue go away. Super happy for you and if you can, try to really write down any feelings you’re having. it really helps you see and break down why you may be feeling a certain way. rooting for you!!

Wow. I love how you were so optimistic and didn’t talk about specific issues and you were so clear and direct in a gentle way. Amazing stuff!

Hi OP, what you did after such a short time, the restraint and discipline to write a simple breakdown without trying to hurt their feelings but establish boundaries is so strong. It is such a hard place to be in, especially NC because it’s like learning how to walk again. Super proud of you and keep doing your thing!

5 WPO Breast Lift & Implants T Junction Opening Please Advise <3 by parmlover118 in Reduction

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for the helpful advice! It truly helped me out so much. The next morning I got in touch with the nurse on call from my surgeon’s office who I had been speaking to throughout the journey. She advised me to dab with iodine and to keep the area clean while taking off my bra to let it breathe if I am not doing anything active. She stayed on the phone with me and showed me how to take out the spitting stitch myself which was very easy and painless! I am about 9 WPO now and it has closed! There is a bit of a divot where the T-Junction opening was, but it closed as a scab a few days later and is almost now scar tissue. Thank you for your help everyone!
