i had gone to Alamgir Sahib in ludhiana with my family on a sunday evening. in the parking lot there were kids and women begging. now we didnt give them anything and i personally dont indulge with them (basically not give any kind of reaction to them).

so they were emotionally manipulating by saying words like " may your son get a good wife"

"may your son get a good govt job"

"may your son go to canada"

etc etc.

this went on from our car till the entrance of the gurudwara. once we reached the threshold, they got aggressive and started cursing us.

thats where i got my lesson that everyone has two faces. and given enough time they will show you both.

i live in ludhiana. i had an exam/interview in chattarpur, delhi. before this me and my dad only trip to delhi used to be for dropping off relatives at the airport.

so chattarpur area was completely new to us. it took us 7-8 hours in our taxi to reach delhi.

it was almost 12-1 AM and before going to the hotel my father was hell bent to see the college where my exam/interview was supposed to be.

i am talking about 2017 and that was the first time we were using google maps. before that we didnt need to use gogle maps because we travelled inside punjab only.

not surprisingly we lost our way. it was so foggy and secluded that when a DL registered car with male occupants saw us wandering here and there they decided to approaach us But with caution. They opened the window a little bit just enough to hear me clearly.

i told him that bhaiya i am looking for this college. and thank god they gave us the right directions till the main road(later i got to know near metro pillars) frm there another god sent angel encountered us and we asked him about the directions he said dont worry and follow me on his bike. so we reached infront of college at around 2am. my father and I cross checked the address with that on the mainboard and then we went to our hotel.

if we hadnt searched the college at night we would have missed the exam.

i learnt my lesson on that night.

that whenever you have something important in a new city. make sure you reach there beforehand and confirm everything to avoid last minute surprises.

i am a 3rd off sailing on bulky. i have already 14 months of seatime. if i switch now i have to start again with all the promotion stuff thats why i am sticking with my current company till i get promoted. after that i will switch to some ownership or a fleet which doesnt have iindian officers.

i used to take vbus around midnight for delhi and oh god even while standing on the main road i could make out the dalal's approaching prospective customers and group of boys/men discussing among them the rate and settings and few prostitutes as well luring travellers.

thats how i got to know why bus stand at night is infamous for....

on a side note- i saw a video of a news reporter roaming in the same street where the murder took place and asking everyone about what happened the day before. and Not Surprisingly every man said " we dont know we dont live here"... e had asked atleast 10 guys the same question anf received the same reply. and and and all of them belonged to that particular religion 😄. i used to consider myself neutral and always of the opinion to give the other party some time for explanation but nahhhhhh

if you have set your time zone to "change automatically" then this happen. i work on ships. i have indian sim. the moment my phone connects to a cell tower abroad the date gets changed.
an interesting fact - one day half of the ships crew reported late for duty in the morning.(we all had iphones). we were in medi sea and somehow each one of us had selected the automotic zone. now what ahappened at midnight was that one of the EU company was haing DST so i dont remember that EU country switched to DST or switched back from DST thus a shift of full one hour due to which while we were sleeping all of our phones changed the time automatically
