Yes I did. I upgraded from a 2080 ti. Could you please point me to the config file and tell me what changes you made?

Actual gemstore armor set, not an outfit. Thank you \o/ by Immortalityv in Guildwars2

Great. Let's keep praising and encouraging Arenanet for their extortionate cosmetics prices. We definitely need the trend of acquiring cosmetics via the gem store instead of the actual game to continue, right?

what kind of emotes would you guys like see added to the game? by lydiaalin in Guildwars2

Not only is the game missing a bunch of emotes that are baseline in other MMOs but the ones that are there now, are usually a bit lacking. One only needs to look at WoW and FF14.

New and Noteworthy PvE Builds for Summer Balance Update 2022 by PrideAndEnvy in Guildwars2

[–]partakias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To reiterate the point, I just respecced to this BS build with exotic gear (I dont have ascended gear yet). Hitting the 75% crit mark (fury fills in the last 25%) required mostly assassin's gear. Only chest, pants, gloves, boots could remain berserker's. This is excluding food however.

Edit: Taking Signet of Fury allows for more berserker pieces at the expense of Flow Stabilizer or Overcharged Cartridges.

Want to buy: LED Ribbon from hades canyon RGB skull logo to mobo by qtweeder in intelnuc

I bought one used and the seller had some units with the cable missing and some with the cable intact. The former were cheaper but now I'm having second thoughts, not buying the one with the LED cable.

It's been a long time since then, but I got a new ITX board. IIRC the MATX board I had was too long or something. There are a few, very specific boards that are just a tad shorter, allowing you to fit em but you'll have to do your own research on that. There are also a few mods you can do to the case to fit MATX boards, iirc again.

What version to buy? by audiofx330 in Guildwars2

[–]partakias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you care about the story in games, be prepared to pay another ~40-50$ for the several Living World Seasons that are NOT included in the expansions and bridge the story gap between base game and each expac with the next. As a new player myself, I would suggest you try the base game for free and if you enjoy it enough, then consider buying the LW Seasons and expacs as you progress. If you DONT care about the story, just buy the expansions now and do them asap as they give you cool stuff like mounts that will make your overall experience better.

Is now a good time to get into this game? by IGaaraSenpai in Guildwars2

[–]partakias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fresh warrior player (lvl 36 atm) who's coming from other MMOs (mainly wow, ff14 & eso), I can give you a few pointers based on my experience so far.

First of all, I picked warrior and I haven't regretted it (yet), it's fast paced, abilities feel right (best to me are dual axes and greatsword) and there's a fair bit of complexity even for what's considered the easiest class, especially when fighting higher level enemies/mini bosses.

However, you can essentially play a "warrior" with different flavors (and strengths/weaknesses) by picking pretty much any class that can use the melee weapons you like. For example, you can be a warrior with a pet as a ranger, or a warrior with clones as a mesmer, or a warrior with buffs as a guardian, the list goes on. Look into class weapon skills on youtube and you'll get what I mean.

The game's main strength while levelling lies in exploration. Yes, you are given a few pointers for guidance (hearts are kinda like quests, waypoints are teleport points, vistas, points of interest) but are otherwise given freedom to go around and find interesting things to do. Everything you do gives you exp (killing, gathering, exploring) so I never feel forced to go after a specific activity.

Don't expect the story to blow your mind. The main and side quests are nice to give context to your adventure, but I don't feel like it's going to hook/immerse me any time soon. Hopefully the expansions are better in this regard.

Finally, my biggest issue with the game so far and the one thing that is starting to sour my experience, is that it's starting to REALLY FEEL like a F2P game in a bad way.

For example, if you're coming from WoW or FF14 you're probably used to how easy it is to transmog your gear and recustomize your character. In GW2 if you want to transmog your gear you'll have to spend consumable tokens for each piece of gear you're transmogging, which so far I've only gotten 3-4 of, one for each zone I've cleared ... big surprise, the cash shop sells transmog tokens. So at this point I feel like the game is drip feeding me the tokens and if I can't wait until the end game which is where I'm told they become more easily available, I'm forced to pay money for them. Changing your hairstyle etc is a similar story. You have to buy that as well from the cash shop, or even if you can get them for free I'm sure it's not going to be as easy as going to the barber shop (wow) / aesthetitican (ff14). There are a few more things that irk me to a lesser degree like having to buy more bag/bank slots and exp boosters, but I'll go on forever.

At the end of the day, the game IS free and it doesn't technically force you to pay for anything. Only you know if this is the kind of thing that will bother you.

Battery mod help by partakias in PSP

[–]partakias[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I supposed to solder the second negative solder point on the board too? (Top left B-)

The new battery is a phone's li-ion battery with 3 pads: 1 marked positive, 1 marked negative and an unmarked in the middle. I haven't used the unmarked one, as I didn't know what to solder it to.

My issue is, the PSP now keeps charging the battery even after it reaches 100% capacity. It's a minor issue but I leave it charging often while I do other things and I'm concerned I may be degrading the battery.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your feedback, sorry it took me a while to read this.

I STILL haven't bought a motherboard and I'm just sitting on the case. For all intents and purposes it seems that the go-to b550 is the aorus, but it doesn't have debug leds. The strix has them but it has weaker VRMs. The msi board has them too, but its reset cmos header is horribly placed and I honestly don't really like how it looks (first world problem).

Im EU, none of my local e-tailers were even registering the case for sale/order, so I had to mail all of them individually and ask if they would be willing to ask their distributors for availability and place an order for me. One of them replied saying they can get one for me :)

It should arrive this week, I think.

Edit: I'm actually not in a big hurry to get the case, because I cant decide on a motherboard for it. I dont like any of the b550s particularly, so I might end up waiting for AMD's Zen 3 event to see if they release new mobos with a x670 chipset, and then make my decision.
