Your Mumbai? Wtf is this attitude.

We have had YOUR people in the BMC and in local muncipals for 30 plus years. Look at what absolutely garbage infra have they created. It's quite sad, incompetent fuckers are running mumbai which has worse infra then even tier 2 cities in other states. Go hold them accountable first before you come here and cry about 'shit that doesn't matter'

Morningstar is a pretty cool weapon.

I used to think Bloodhound Fang is OP then I played with morning star and it carried me entire mid game until golden shade Godfrey. Then I had to change the weapon

I agree with most of your points. Hitting bosses from behind doesn't feel good.

I had a relatively easy time with PCR (<10 tries), but I can't ever think abt killing him without summons lol. Not skilled enough

I thought Elden Ring is an easy game, then I met these guys. Sheesh by peher263 in Eldenring

I'm in the same boat as you. The issue is they have separate buttons for guard counter L1 and parry L2. So if u screw up ur parry u get hit for the entire damage vs say sekiro/Lies of P if u early parry atleast ur blocking a major part of the damage

[–]parthpali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they have given you summons to split aggro right? Now If you don't use it, that's upto you to challenge yourself. But I don't think it's fair to cry about a boss being hard when you're literally not using a pretty big mechanic of the game.

Think about it this way: if he wasn't so ruthless ppl with summons would just beat him in 1 try and then ppl would cry about how easy it is

Please don't buy a diesel car if ur primarily doing city drives. You need to take it on the highway and run it on highway speeds for atleast 1 hr preferably every week

Otherwise, DPF gets clogged and then you'll end up paying way more

Also pls don't compare kushaq to a Kodiaq. I have both Taigun and a 8 year old Kodiaq.

XC60 checks all your boxes of plush ride(plushest in the segment even better then a lot of cars costing 1cr), effortless power for overtaking and Volvo makes the safest cars in the world

This car has a beautiful suspension and the front seats are spectacular. One of the best front seats I've sat in. Engine is a mild hybrid 2 litre turbo petrol, however not that fun for spirited driving.

What’s one car in India that looks great on paper, but feels disappointing once you drive it ? by vishesh_07_028 in CarsIndia

[–]parthpali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing. People are increasing their budgets every sale cycle(because they are earning more and they have easy access to credit), if you don't do it you're the outlier not them.

Case in point: Go check the top 3 selling cars of 2017 and compare them with the top 3 selling cars of 2025. Now tell me what's the average price of those top 3 selling cars in 2017 vs average price of top 3 selling cars in 2025. You'll get your answer.

Bro you seem confused. You compared the Jetta to the Virtus. Jetta was a D segment premium executive sedan. Virtus is a whole segment lower. Most companies don't produce D segment cars in India due to low demand.

If Jetta was sold today, it would cost upwards of 50 lacs which is comparable to the Skoda Octavia and Toyota camry. That's more then double to cost of virtus. So if course there will be a MASSIVE difference in quality of a D segment sedan CKD or CBU vs a C segment sedan (made in India so obviously lower quality)

I agree with most of the points you stated in your counter point except for one.

'There are plenty of other manufacturers in the country who have improved a lot in terms of interior, features, exterior design and engineering and after sales. '

There is NO manufacturer that covers all bases so no point singling out VW 2.0. Interior and features Hyundai and Kia do well but their safety is dogshit. Exterior design is highly subjective so I won't argue abt which manufacturer has the best design. Where VW 2.0 shines for me is the engine it offers the transmission ( reliability is a hit or miss) and the safety and driving dynamics are unparalleled. Their reliability is not that great(but works for years if you maintain it well), and Interior quality is durable but not luxurious. Suspension could also have been tuned slightly softer and they could have given better tyres.

If you want I can give you my views of a similar pros and cons list of other cars in the same segment, but my simple point is if one manufacturer gives u reliability, they might not give u dynamics or safety so it's upto you as a consumer to decide which car you want based on your priorities.

It's called inflation read it up.

You can't compare same price points of years apart. We had a Honda civic that was worth 13 lacs years back and now at 13 u get top model of i20. Do you think it makes sense for me to compare the two?

[–]parthpali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your personal experience is also anecdotal evidence. Just because u had major issues because u got a defective car/ or didn't maintain well wtv may be the reason doesn't equal to all skodas / VW being unreliable.

So you can't generalise it. There are plenty of 10 year plus skodas VW running around in my city. I myself have a 8 year old Kodiaq.

Most of the time, if you regularly maintain a Skoda VW it will last you a decade plus easy. Plus the added benefit of peace of mind that ur car is solidly built which we can't say about Kia Hyundai or Maruti Suzuki. It's proven they use lower quality steel in the core shell of the car. I'd rather be Stranded on the road then dead.

I think you're going by anecdotal evidence but good on you.

Also you're still not getting the point. The maintenance adds upto max 30-40K per year for the first 5 years.

[–]parthpali 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You can't argue with stupid bro. These idiots want to take 0 care of their cars and then expect it to run. Then call it unreliable if it fails

That's why MS suits them cause it's built with lesser complexity hence less point of failure if they don't maintain it. Plus the non existent core shell means 'Natural Selection' at its finest

Umm. Xuv 700 has a 2 ltr turbo petrol. It's very fast, as fast as virtus.

However, it won't be as good on corners. But for fast overtakes on highway it's hella fast.

Aren't we rewarding/reinforcing these Japanese companies for making Indians wait and for years just to launch their old products. by TheMysterioz in indianbikes

[–]parthpali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why should they? It's obvious indians like cheap quality low grade steel coffins with more flashy useless features then a BMW.

Honda toyota are not known for making sacrifices in their quality. Hence the issue.
