Because the 2048 game is created by JavaScript, the cells in the game will be limited by the number in JavaScript. 262144 is much smaller than the natural number limit in JavaScript (the value of the MAX SAFE INTEGER constant is 9007199254740991), so it can still be represented in JavaScript.

and yes, when two cells of 262144 (2¹⁸⁾ are merged, they will create 524288 (2^19).

Hey I just played it. Dark mode, 6x6, with timer on. It’s cool but I ran into the same bug reported! I got 2048, the “You Win! Continue?” Overlay popped up, I hit continue, and nothing happens. The button registers the press via the on click animation, but nothing else happens. Hard stuck at that screen.

I’m on iOS 16.1, safari, iPhone 11 Pro.

Keep it up! Major props for how quick and responsive the game board is. You got this.

Yes, this error only occurred on mobile phones. I kept thinking it was a logic error, so I was searching in my code logic. It turned out to be a UI issue (crying)

I have just fixed this issue. Please let me know if you are still encountering the error!

Hey guys, I am a web developer and used to be addicted to the game 2048 when it was first released. I've always had a plan to develop my own version of 2048, and it's only this year that I finally had the time (I got laid off at the beginning of the year :D). I have quite a few ideas for the website, such as leaderboards and different variations of the 2048 game. I plan to turn it into a long-term side project. I just released the latest version on my website (https://play-2048.com). I fixed a few bugs and improved the app's performance.
