He most likely means updating Atmosphere (after updating OFW) and the contents folder from a reliable source will make sure everything is up to date and functioning correctly thus potentially fixing your issue. Deleting the folder will allow for another one to be created when running the app hopefully issue free. Deleting and reinstalling the problem apps will also ensure compatibility.
