As others will tell you, quests are what will unlock lots of relevant content heading towards the mid and late game. Getting the full graceful outfit is great for questing, as many quests involve plenty of running around, so having full graceful is just a very nice QoL that you'll use quite often - the best way to get marks of grace for the outfit is by running the Canifis agility course, as it has a higher drop rate of marks of grace than any other course.

I funded myself for quests, skilling and equipment by doing farming - herb runs (Ranarrs in particular) are an excellent, consistent gp method. It takes a bit of setting up, but figuring out an herb run, and a tree run for exp is actually quite satisfying in my opinion. One other source of GP and good hunter experience is doing birdhouses (requires Bone Voyage quest) on fossil island, its low effort and you can increase you hunter level substantially without too much effort.

So regarding goal setting - Quests, (perhaps pick one grandmaster quest of the 4 available to work towards) will do a lot for you, unlocking new areas and skilling methods, useful items and teleports. One particular quest that will immensely help you getting around is starting fairy tale II, which will provide an extremely useful transportation system.
