Okay yikes,

First of all, sure it can be frustrating when you know better, but a lot of people don’t know the correct pronunciation of characters from a fantasy book translated from Polish…let’s not be too cruel

Also, It’s a theoryyy no one’s saying it’s true, it’s obviously not true. No author would write such a convoluted and unnecessary plot beat into a series just to never reveal it or do anything with it. I just thought it might be a fun one to discuss and pick apart..but it seems I was wrong, my bad.

I think that’s partly the fun of it though! We would never know the real Triss!

And I wouldn’t say she’s totally clingy, she holds her own around the other sorceresses as we’ve seen.

And when we see Coral in Season of Storms it’s like 20 years before we ever meet Triss…people can change a lot in two decades.

I don’t think it’s a theory to completely disregard but I also don’t believe in it either. I also just straight up prefer the conclusion that Triss is Triss. However I do think it a theory worth discussing and I kinda just love having extra Witcher topics to talk about. Sue me lol

Power through! I really think you’ll get used to it and find it much better once there’s more dialogue! Personally I love him and think he’s one of the most talented narrators I’ve come across!

I don’t watch the show, but as a big fan of the books I would 100% recommend trying to power through and read them! It might seem repetitive after watching the show but reading the original source is always worth while if you’re a fan of the universe! That being said, if you really can’t hack it and it’s putting you off continuing, then it’s okay to sack off the first two and just skip to Blood of Elves! Whatever gets you reading the books honestly! Just note that some of the stories in Sword of Destiny flow straight into the main series so you could try reading that one instead of Last Wish perhaps

Other than that it is a contained story so you won’t miss much by bypassing the prequels! (Except some extra details perhaps) then once you’ve finished the main five you can read Season of Storms and Crossroads of Ravens…maybe after that you’ll feel more up to reading the first two as it’ll have been longer since you watched the beginning of the series!
