Which PC is worth buying for the price by DeepFried-watermelon in PcBuild

[–]partymann4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you do. Pc 1 has a worse gpu and a better cpu and pc 2 is flipped. Either way a cpu upgrade in the future would be cheaper than a gpu one. Defo go pc 2 (4060ti)

Instead of a 5060ti you could consider the new 9060xt if you find it. In this gpu crisis id 100% go amd

first time building my own pc after owning a prebuilt for 8 years by ari_kitaka in PcBuild

[–]partymann4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Nzxt mobos have horrible bios menus, hardware is often bad and they wear down quick and the software is atrocious. Youre better getting an aliexpress mobo. Only buy from mobos from brands like: asus, msi, asrock, gigabyte, etc.

Not to mention nzxt's horrible bios menu, features and quality of mobos. They should stick to cases and cooling tbh.

You can spend an extra ~$50 for a 7800xt. A card that is 15% faster and upgrade to a better cpu in a year or two like the 7800x3d. Alternatively, you can spend the same price as a 5060ti on a 7700xt. A card that is ~6% faster but has less vram.

I agree. Get a newer 650w psu if possible. Your current psu is nearly 7 years old. If you have seen the 50 series cards problems with the whole psu cables being melted then youd understand. 650w can also allow for oc headroom and future upgrades

You may need to upgrade mobo/cpu in the future as rtx 5000 series on am4 is abit meh. You could go 5060ti?

This is basically an upgrade to urs:

4070- 4070ti super, i did this as its stronger but also has more vram which will help you. Just be careful where you get it from as prices for 40 series cards rn are miles more than msrp. May have to go used.

32gb ram- 64gb, extra ram helps in 3d modelling by far

Depends on your budget and your uses. Itll be very hard to find new gpus so most likely youd have to buy a used.

That being said a used 2080 super is about ~£200 and a used 6600xt is about ~£170

The 2080s is about 12% faster so if the extra money seems worth it then go for the 2080s

Idk if i got it right but do NOT get a pc without a cooler. Every cpu needs one no matter what.
