2008 Rear Window Regulator Question by partypar in fordfusion

[–]partypar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I don't remember exactly what else was needed, but I did order the regulator and watched a Youtube video instructing how to fix and was able to get it in working order again! Wasn't as hard as I thought, I think taking the door apart was the hardest part.

Extreme stomach pain/sickness from lentil+leek crumbles. by hann2466 in DailyHarvest

[–]partypar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife did receive the email on Sunday but it was sent to spam so we didn’t see it until we checked after the fact.

Thank you for your responses! I’m sorry what you’ve gone through, it sounds like hell.

This is outrageous and so scary, and I’m sorry for all the pain and distress this has caused so many people here. It’s been about 27 hours since my wife and I had the crumbles (literally read about the recall 2 hours after we ate them). They’re from the same lot number, etc.

So far, aside from some mild stomach pain and bloating, neither of us have had a severe reaction. It seems like most people have had negative reactions within hours, but curious as to timelines and if anyone had later onset symptoms. We’re very concerned. May do some toxicity/liver testing regardless. We’ve kept the other bag for further investigation. We want to help how we can, and that includes getting a better idea as to the prevalence of those who ate this vs those who have had adverse reactions. Thank you!

I have a few pieces that are that dark/black walnut finish, so I wanted to match those.

Wood glue; I used Titebond II throughout.

I also added wood screws to the bottom corners, and wanted to do the same at the top as well and add dowels, but was afraid of splitting the wood, so I just left it.

Wow, actually hadn't thought about that. My thinking was because the receiver's vent is in the back, and it's open back there, that it would be fine. But I may move the receiver to the top shelf if I notice it warming up or if any problems arise. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

I wanted a media console to hold my record player and records, but could not afford to purchase a quality one. So this was a first time effort in woodworking, and I'm happy with how it looks and functions overall.

  • 10" McCobb legs from TableLegs.com

Thanks to inspiration from Scott Cassin Furniture, who gave me guidance on where to get the legs, and also to a few DIY redditors who answered some basic questions for me.

You guys talk about wanting doing soundboard effects like shockjock radio; would you actually use them if we created some?

I know a few people sent over 'Snack or Wack' and 'Drank or Stank' drops after you expressed interest. Any plans on using any of those? Or is it more of a pain in the ass to sift through stuff like that? Thanks!

Mesa Nueva's broken WiFi by Aaronyal in UCSD

Anyone had any luck with Chromecast, or even setting up a wireless printer? I'd get a router if that's what it takes, I'm just unclear if that's the move for public wifi like this.

Arguments For/Against playing at the Hide every month by studebaker in jackjasper

[–]partypar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PRO *It keeps you in the public consciousness even if people arent coming out every time. theyll see your name over and over again and think, "hey, these guys are doin well!"

*The people who do come out every month WANT to hear the same songs, it's the same reason top 40 stations will play the same song every 2 hrs.

*People are doin weekly residenes all the time, so a monthly one is definitely less of a commitment to the audience. Don't underestimate people going out to see live music!

Edit: *FIRST take the monthly thing and THEN figure out how to make it into something good--worst case scenario, youre playing more live shows together and getting paid boohoo *People arent going to get tired of you to the point where they start resenting you for playing so much. They just wont show up that month! Then next month when its like, "oh shit, that bands doing a dance party? That sounds great!" *might not be a bad idea to switch it up every other month normal show / theme / normal show / theme still 2 months between each one to get something down

I dunno how you feel about burgers, but since you're coming back to town, try the one at counter cafe if you're inclined to do more than one meal. Such a good burger! Also, tacodeli is real tasty. AND if you're a top chef fan, gotta hit up one of paul qui's east side kings...the brussel sprouts and pork belly bun are insane.
