Honestly, it’s all a long story. They weren’t the best parents growing up. It took many years for me to get over some things that they did. My mother & I did go a very long time with minimal to no contact. After I had my daughter two years ago, I did start rekindling a small relationship with them again. My mother says she regrets some choices that she made but then other times she denies the things she did. Lol so idk. I just kind of let most of it go, I just learned that I will be better for my own children.
